Replace Hensley with Diaz when he’s back and Maldy with Vazquez and that’s probably your best lineup. Should be the one you see in the playoffs on a regular basis except for the Maldy/Verlander combo.
So in Brian McTaggart's latest video, he implies that we could in fact have Hunter Brown on the postseason roster. How does this work? I thought he had to be called up by August 31st? Also, is he the child star that played Eddie Munster? I'll hangup and listen.
Maybe next time. There's a lefty on get away day where he can use Hensley, McCormick and Vasquez giving Tucker, Maldy and Dubon a day off.
Vazquez now has an OPS as an Astro lower than Maldy. In 60 ABs, he's still seeking his first extra-base hit.
We need to specify which Diaz in posts about the future. A Diaz or Y Diaz. A Diaz will be back soon. Maybe before Pressly after his setback.
He hit much better when he was getting regular PAs. Some people don't thrive with sporadic starts and others handle it OK. Same with DH which is where Vasquez has receive several starts.
He was NOT on the active roster on 8/31. He would have to get added by Manfred approving a petition to replace an IR, something which could have easily been avoided by making the move on 8/31 and which is of no concern to those who believe he doesn't HATE the Astros. I personally think he would stick a fork in every Astro player if given the chance.
Only a day or two after the announcement of his setback. That surprises me. But I hope he's really ready to be back.
I’m not that invested in the catching battle though I’m confident that Vazquez with more consistent playing time is the better offensive player. That said, I’m more interested in getting McCormick more playing time and Yuli less.
