I don't see JV agreeing to going on the IL unless he is legitimately hurt. He wants to win another ring or two but he ALSO wants 300 wins and is pitching for legacy career total stats. I can see him buying into an extra day of rest and/or inserting a guy who deserves to be there into the rotation for a 6 man or even 7 ( though that's extreme). I can not see him agreeing to an IL stint.
