    Giants 1993-2002 - Found a Pharmact and Barry Bonds. But he didn't screw it up. Finished 2nd or worse till 97 when they lost their first playoff series in the NLDS. Then finishe 2nd or less until 2000 whare they once again lost in the NLDS. The 2nd or worse until 2002 when he achieved wins in the NLDS and NLCS before losing the WS. He was replaced by Felipe Alou in 2003 and the Giants returned to the playoffs.

    Cubs 2003-2006 - Lost NLCS after Sammy tried a new pharmacist. Rode Pitching to the NLCS before losing. Then out of the running until 2006. 2007 Lou Pinella got them back in the playoffs.

    Reds 2008-2013 - 2010 NLDS Lost, 2012 NLDS Lost; 2013 NLWC lost.

    Nationals 2016, 2017 - Lost NLDS twice.

    Astros 2020-2022 - 2020 Lost NLCS; 2021 Lost WS

    That's why if Odo/LMJ come back, maybe 6 man rotation and/or JV goes on the IL for "rest"

    I don't see JV agreeing to going on the IL unless he is legitimately hurt.

    He wants to win another ring or two but he ALSO wants 300 wins and is pitching for legacy career total stats.

    I can see him buying into an extra day of rest and/or inserting a guy who deserves to be there into the rotation for a 6 man or even 7 ( though that's extreme).

    I can not see him agreeing to an IL stint.

    Weird that Dusty rests guys and yet won’t give Lee a start. I hope if he is being anti-rookie catcher, he don’t get Maldonado hurt
