Pujols was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States in 1996. Bravo for becoming naturalized. This is not uncommon for Latin American players. A "younger age" gives them a leg up on the competition since they are more mature than their competitors and scouts take notice. But you know that I'm sure. And any age advantage goes away quickly as talent takes over in the early 20s. But the age is always suspect unless well documented.

After last season, and considering his age, I thought Yuli was finished. In 22 less games, he already has six more walks, six more rbi than last season, and the same number of home runs.
