This is a real problem and concern with Verlander giving up all these homers. Needs to work on better location.

 

I don’t want JV pitching in the All-Star game at all. Give him as much rest to figure out things as possible.

 

He may need to reconsider his plan of attack at this point. It's gotten to the point that while dominant, he could lose on any given night due to the HR. And we'll need more out of our number one in October.

 

Coming into this start, JV’s FIP was 4.00 and his ERA is slowly creeping closer to being in line with that FIP.

 

Its somewhat concerning but I get the game plan of high strikes due to analytics. Problem with the gameplan is you leave very little room for error.
