Could just be a day of rest....he did grimace after a swing last night, so hopefully he didn't exasperate his thumb injury. Also, at one point, he seemed to be running funny between second and third.
I think the problem is more the total doom and gloom that some posters rail on about during games, innings, at bats. Certainly, good conversation/observation during losses is welcome.
It's amusing you think it's OK to say something everytime a baseball player does something shitty, but it's crazy for someone to say something when a fan does something shitty like **** on their best-team-in-baseball because of a bad inning. To be clear, feel free to be shitty, whiny fan - you have every right to be that. But if you think it's OK to go apoplytic about how horrible the team and players are every time they do something stupid, you should get used to being called out on how terrible you are when you do something stupid.
Like most things, REALITY is more in the middle ... 1) fans shouldn't be so doom and gloom AND 2) posters who react to the doom and gloom shouldn't wait until the coast is clear
Agreed. Majority of it is not constructive and it clutters the forum (I mean you had people attacking Correa for playing too much video games and calling the bullpen a garbage fire). I don’t understand how some of you aren’t seeing the difference here. But hell, if that’s how some people choose to express their fandom then so be it. On an unrelated note, I realize Gattis had a decent game but damnit I hate seeing him in the lineup a second day in a row.
We should clinch the division sometime during the next series. The celebration will probably be north of the border this time. He (and Correa) can sit out during the entire Baltimore series, if that's the case. Let them rest, they'll need it for the postseason.
The over the top blatant doomsday posts should be called out but when I post a concern about bringing in Will Harris with bases loaded in the 7th inning and up by 1 run then you should post your rebuttable BEFORE he gives up a GS and not AFTER he gets out of it. Some of you have excellent hindsight vision.
For most of the Toronto and Baltimore series, I want Gattis DH'ing, and Yuli/Alex/Altuve/White infield (left to right). Give Carlos and George full rest for October.
