Honest question, but have you ever played the sport of baseball before? I appreciate your passion for the team (although I understand why the mass get frustrated by it), but I think it's misguided. Baseball is not like other sports, it is called a game of failure. Failure is expected, and it would be best to not get bent out of shape after every failure. So for example, if a player starts the game 0-2, it might not be wise to deem that player trash, or crappy. He might come up in a crucial moment in the 7th or 8th, and could deliver a big hit for us. Similar to a pitcher, if he hangs a curveball, or gets hit hard for one inning, that doesn't make him terrible. And pointing it out, and focusing on that one point for several posts will naturally upset most readers. For one, their team just gave up a run, or two, or several. To then see multiple posts doing nothing more than emphasizing one point, and only one point, I hope where you can see why that would not endear you to most of the other posters. I am mostly a lurker, because I feel like I can't add value to most of the conversation. I may think or say a four letter work during the course of the season, but I don't see value in me posting a bunch of knee-jerk reactions after every play that doesn't go our way. I know it's really hard for us fans, and I am definitely not immune to getting worked up after a tough loss, or a lousy play, but try and keep in mind that baseball is a game of failure. And it's a really, really hard sport, and our players will fail, and will fail often. We just hope that they fail less than the opposing team.
Like i said before today, Altuve is a different hitter this year, he is mature and is an MVP candidate.
