Not lately, the whole year, i think he is second in walks for SS in the majors, 15th in the majors, and 7th in the AL. And you know who is right behind him??????

Altuve. Last year i said if Altuve could walk more, well, this year he has and is becoming not only an All Star but an MVP player.

Did you guys see Springer turn on the burners when the ball bounced off of Escobar? Dude was a blur.

Oh yeah no doubt. People put such high expectations on him and forgot he's only 21. Very few in the history of the league have come in and been MVP at 21. He'll be fine.

The steal by Springer was big, really big.
The ump helped us not calling the low pitches, up until Correa where he called one.

I hope someone steals Marisnick's hat everytime the Astros hit a walk off.

what a ridiculously lucky 9th. we were due something like that.

doesn't even make sense to me that we're already back to .500.

    Yep

And for all of those a month ago saying "well is it still early? Is it still early?"

Well yes, it was! And still is in a lot of ways

We all like to say how lucky the Rangers are when they play against the Astros, but they are literally the luckiest team in baseball. Oh and Astros dead last

I think we should trade all the veterans who are now playing well. I think I've seen that suggested in several places.

Didn't they basically do the exact same thing to Street last year?

Also, after seeing the 2004 team go 36-10 down the stretch... I can pretty much make sense out of any sort of run a baseball team goes on.

    Prophetic.

The next balancing act should be Rangers losing 8 of their next 10 one-run games.

Really comes down to the starting staff... they've all turned in quality starts over the last week for the first time all year, and the overall staff ERA is starting to come back towards last-year's league leading level.

    That would be great

Or if they just lost 8 of their next 10 period

Nah, I just get a kick out of the "Valbuena's trade value will never be higher, 3B are hard to find, he's doing well now so we should trade him to a contender..." kind of stuff.

Find a front-line SP and trade for that guy if you can. Or a middle-order corner OF/DH. Other than that you're treading water.

I guess that's true. There's just been so much torture along the way, and seemingly so few easy wins...kind of amazing we've been gaining as much ground (on .500) as we have recently.
