F***...every dropped game at home is such a killer. This team's road ineptitude just might cost them dearly.
Arghhhh Tough loss. Stros didn't give up like usual. Frustrating as hell though. Go A's even though I hate your squad.
What would of been the game tying HR... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Per Statcast, that was 111 MPH off the bat and 433 feet! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a></p>— Houston Astros (@astros) <a href="https://twitter.com/astros/status/646526663048724480">September 23, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
In the end, the pen gives up 1 run... in a game the Astros were still trailing, no less. In the grand scheme of things, McCullers not really being focused against the two best hitters in their lineup (and possibly in baseball) is what cost them.
The last team with this bad of a road record that made the playoffs was the 198 7 Twins... I would love to have their result...
These 1 Run Games are insane especially the one's we've lost like this one. Can still take 2 games if we win tomorrow but Stros continue making it hard the way... on the job training trying to defy the odds being 2 years ahead of schedule.
Disastrous showed up again. Too many left on base. Too bad the bp gave up a run. That is to be expected now
Hey a Gattis strikeout... No one saw that coming. He either grounds out on the first pitch or strikes out. You know your DH is a stud when a guy hitting 237 is intentionally walked so a pitcher gets to face your DH... Then again I guess that Gattis 280 OBP isn't important.
Formulaic loss. Bullpen gives up runs can't hit with RISP. Scored on 2 solo hr's and a passed ball. Left 11 men on base.
I was expecting a groundout to third. Groundout, strikeout, all the same, whatever _____________________ Rangers now down 4-3.
Pujols isn't remotely close to one of the top two hitters in baseball. No criticism of McCullers tonight. He went 7, any blame falls on the offense.
