As a left-handed batter: .327/.426/1.080 That's almost Berkman-esque (especially with his inept right-handed numbers). Convert him to a first baseman in the off-season... let him pitch-frame on throws to first.

As is the case with most catchers.... till they no longer are allowed to catch. Carlos Lee picked it up... as did Marwin this year.... and Carter wasn't "classically" trained there either.
yeah we can't have him stinking up the lineup when we have something to play for. When Lowrie's back maybe Valbuena can play some first.
Not sure who would trade for him right now... perhaps we would have to give up something more just to get another team to take him.
I was hoping he had some experience there. I'd let him DH some, especially against some of the tougher RHP. That's a bit tricky though, if you did have to use him at C (if they PH/PR for Castro, for example), you'd lose the DH for the rest of the game.
