I didn't get a chance to watch it. Regardless of what happens, and frankly, I don't care that much. Blake will sell the most records by far of this group. Followed by Jordin. Then, I wouldn't be surprised to see Phil sell quite a bit. Melinda will end up going down the Fantasia path....good singer with no stage presence.....
Oddly enough, I think Blake is the one that's definitely gonna stay today. My guess is that Jordin gets kicked, but I could even see Melinda going home.
I will be so happy if Melinda gets voted off tonight, but I doubt it will happen - it will probably be Blake.
Looks like you got your wish. She just didn't have the stage presence the other 2 have. I think that is what ultimately cost her a spot in the finals.

Cool. I actually pegged Jordin to be in the Finals ever since her first audition this season. I think she has the edge over Blake based on what they make them sing in the finally. I can't imagine Blake singing one of those sappy songs they write for the finalists. I think Jordin though will have the biggest career. She has the singing ability, the personality, the marketability and she's going to be an absolute knockout in a couple of years. Blake is good but I can't imagine how many CDs he will sell when every song has beat-boxing in it. I think people will eventually get sick of it along with his "boy-band" moves on stage. I think Melinda will have a nice career but not mainstream. All in all I think this one of the best group of Idolists from top to bottom we've seen.
Wow. You could not be more wrong. And apparently, America agrees, too: Ugh... Worst. Final. Ever. (Although Fantasia versus Diana DeGarmo was pretty damn bad.) Jordin is the producers' "anointed one" (the pimpage in recent weeks has been sickening), but Blake will sell more records.
OK? I didn't know an opinion could be right or wrong. Our opinions are just different but I'm not going to tell you you're flat wrong. Hell, you could be right. My brother and I have this argument every week about Jordin and Blake. He feels exactly like you in that Blake is going to sell a ton of CDs and have great career. I think he is a perfect example of style over substance and his popularity will fizzle out relatively quick. To me, Jordin has the complete package and, I agree with Barry Gibbs in that Jordiin could be one of the best entertainers of this next generation. It's certainly not a given but she certainly has a great start at only 17 yrs. old.
Sorry, I didn't mean to attack you. I'm just a little bitter. I'm annoyed because Jordin doesn't need this show. Her family has millions. She's NOT scraping by, like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Fantasia. Also, a thread on VFTW proves (through pics) that she had connections to AI (and to the music industry) prior to this season. That's just shady, IMO. For AI to retain its reputation as "discoverer of hidden talent", Blake must win. Anything less is a travesty and will leave a bad taste in my mouth, IMO.
I don't have much to add other than I just don’t understand all the Jordin love.. 1. She can sing well, but has NOTHING interesting in her voice IMO it’s just vanilla.. 2. She is VERY awkward on stage, even her walk is painful to watch.. 3. She could compete in the next Wrestlemania.. I really do hope Blake wins, but if he doesn't I would still bet he goes onto be one of the more popular AI contestants..
Hmmm, I didn't know about any of that. Certainly does put a little damper on the whole idea that the show results in giving the best untapped talent in a America a chance to make it big. So, you're right, judging by that thread she certainly could have made it without the show.
Lots of struggling artists have recognized that AI is a great way to launch a career. It is all about the marketing baby !! DD
I was so stoked to see Melinda go home!! Blake and Jordin in the finals is what I have wanted for months - I'm hoping that Blake can win it but they will both have solid careers, IMO.
Blake is horrible. I can't stop thinking "Mork from Ork" when I look at him. Melenida was the best one but she has no neck so she was voted off.
Sorry, I worded my question that way. You are right, that season she was the best singer (for what it's worth). In opinion, no final has lived up to season two, where both of the singers could have probably won any other idol, IHMO, of course. Even Kimberly Locke (who placed 3rd that season) can sing better than the current finalists (again my opinion). Jordin is great at singing ballads and other types of slow songs, but as soon as she gets a song with tempo, she struggles to stay on key, and has no moves what-so-ever. Blake is okay, and stayed true to himself, but again, not being versatile enough should have cost him earlier.
