Jordin is special, but IMHO, she doesn't really have a popular contemporary style etc....whereas I think Blake already has figured out who he is......with Jordin, she may be able to figure it out, or she may be screwed by record execs who pigeon hole her into something they think she should be. So far the top selling artists from this competion are Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtery & Kelly Clarkson...... And each one of them I believe had a style already coming into the competition.... DD
Blake is indeed talented. I also think that Phil could do something promising with country music if he decided to go that route.
blake and lakisha in the bottom 3 for sure, maybe a shocker of phil to round it out. i'd say melida, jordin, and chris are safe. i think blake may be gone.
As someone who is a big country music fan, he just doesn't do it for me, he doesn't look country, and he doesn't sound all that country. I knew Carrie would do well, and Josh Grayson too......but Phil looks too Urban Cowboy for my taste. Dial Idol has Lakisha and Chris at the bottom with Blake in 3rd.....his fans may have gotten the message and keep him in...... DD
I think at some point in the next 3-5 years, all of us guys are going to flipping hte channel and come across a Jordin Sparks vidoe and go, "DAMN, That's that Jordin girl from American Idol!" I think she is an amazing singer, her talents go FAR beyond her years and (once she loses some of that 'baby fat') she is going to be a knockout IMO. She's not pigeon-holed like Melinda and Lakisha who would be perfect for a Patti Labelle greatest hits dedication show. I think Blake is good but I just feel he has a VERY short 'shelf-life'. Jordin has the staying power IMO. I really liked Katherine last season and I think Jordin blows her away by a WIDE margin. Anyway, enough of me rambling. I actually pegged her to be in the top 2-3 when I saw her audition on the very first showof the season in Seattle, so I'm just stoked that my perdiction has come true so far.
I really like Jordin, but I thought her performance last night wasn't anywhere near as good as the judges made it out to be. I really think that AI wants her to win because she's the most marketable of all the contestants left...

they said "we couldn't vote someone off on a charity night--everyone is safe" the votes go towards the totals.. so after next week's votes, the cumulative 2 week totals will be tallied, and the lowest 2 people will be out
Which is UTTER bullcrap.....what if someone sucks next week but gets through because of good vote total this week. No, that is not right. DD
