well, it was fun while it lasted. Probably won't watch as much now that my girl Stephanie and Sanjaya's air of sabotage are gone. The show's back to the boring, same ol' same ol'.
Yeah. It'll probably be 4 more weeks of futzing around until we crown either Melinda or Jordin. The x-factor is totally gone.
It wasn't Blake's fault he was in the bottom 3. He sang better than everyone except Melinda and Jordin last week and he has been consistently good week in and week out.
That is correct. That tells you something about the voters. So Blake doesn't need to pick it up, Blake's voters need to pick it up.
Completely disagree about last week in particular. I think Phil was better than him for sure. (People seem to dislike Phil cause of his looks...close your eyes and listen to last week's). And last week, I thought Chris and Blake were pretty close to even. I gave Chris a slight edge, but I could be persuaded the other way, too. Still, I thought Blake was way below his norm and potential. Not a fan of the way he did that song.
Thank God we can stop with the madness. I cheered like a little girl when Sanjaya got voted off.... Even my gf's kids were laughing at his sorry b**** ass crying. He shouldnt have even made it to Hollywood.
We all hear things differently . Blake essentially did the song closer to the way the original artist and composer (Ryan Adams) performed it.
This was my biggest beef. A friend of mine, who can really SING, made the top 40 (top 20 men) but got passed over on the final cut before the actual competition. Yet they took Sanjaya.
Its sad that Sanjaya is gone, but I'm glad he shed light on how big a scam American Idol and the state of pop music in America is these days.
Which is why so many people were voting for him. The producers knew full well they were just setting the kid up by putting him through instead of many "more deserving," talents. It's a ratings move they do every season. This time, way more people than they anticipated saw through the farce. This isn't a "singing competition," it's television.
Of course it is a sham, and it is reality TV, but usually a good talented singer wins the competition....and that is why I watch. I like the train wrecks as well as the lure of undiscovered talent. Last year, I loved Daughtry, this year it is Blake...... DD
didn't hear judges' comments on the 1st 3 tonight.. but I think it has to be LaKisha or Blake to go (sorry DD). He sang Imagine...but I didn't think he had anything really difficult to sing in there. Seemed pretty basic overall..not that he did bad. But didn't stand out at all.. But I think the fact that he sang a well-known song might save him and make it LaKisha to go. Chris and Melinda deserve to stay on this week. And Phil and Jordin got better reviews from the judges than I would've given them...but I also didn't think they were bad.
I put my bottom 2 this week as Blake and Lakisha, and either one could go.... Blake will sell more records than anyone left, but tonight to me, he looked ready to go. DD
