Simon will not quit the show. I'm sure he is unhappy. If he did quit, he would be an idiot. AI is the # 1 show on television and there is no end in sight. Constantine was on Howard Stern and said the producers of the show probably love the attention. Sanjaya made an otherwise boring season. Sanjaya is bringing in new fans...Howard Stern listeners! Is it enough to affect the final outcome? I don't know but every week Sanjaya survives is awesome.
Wrong. Sanjaya had a decent sized fan base well before VFTW adopted him. A fan base big enough, in fact, to push him through to the finals OVER Sundance, whom was being supported by VFTW at the time.
If you really want to make it interesting: Judges vote America votes Contestants vote If 2 of the 3 or all 3 choose the same contestant to leave, they leave. If it is a 3 way tie, America's choice leaves.
That's a pretty good idea. I also think they should make the actual vote numbers public... no matter what system they use. Its stupid to honestly believe that they have zero say in who stays and goes unless they come forth and show us the actual numbers each week.
Then that is pretty sad and just goes to show that the voters at home shouldn't be completely controlling this process.
Jesus. Just adopt the Dancing With the Stars voting system, where the results are calculated based on both the judges' vote (worth 50%) and the viewers' vote (the other 50%). Problem solved. The end.
I have to admit, since Stephanie left, I've been voting my ass off for Sanjaya. I've had a great a time being a part of the "movement" that has pushed VFTW.com up to the second highest trafficked American Idol website (2nd only to the official site). Being disruptive and overpowering rich people. This is fun as hell.
Phil was pretty good tonight so most likely Haley will be the one gone. Unless it's going to be another "shocker."
