Not apples to apples finals......pictures are worth 1000 words..... And I am happy that Adeel had the courage to come out of the closet. DD
You've got to be kidding me. Do you seriously think that people in India, home to a billion Indians, would care enough about one guy in the US to go through the trouble to vote for a show that probably doesn't air in their country, during a specific two hour window when the voting is open, at international calling rates. Come on. As for some clues to who IS voting for Sanjaya, this article is pointing the finger at the East Coast and Hawaii (which I foolishly dismissed as a cause last week).
m_cable, actually, a good deal of India may be calling for Sanjaya after all. From what I've heard, some call center phones in India show up on caller ID as having Los Angeles area codes, which allows workers to get through to the Idol lines with no problem (or suspicion). If you check DialIdol during the West Coast's voting period, there always seems to be a huge surge of Sanjaya votes. Hey, look, it's the producers' fault for putting Sanjaya in the Top 24 in the first place. They tried to be more ethnically tolerant, and it blew up in their collective faces. Therefore, expect an all-white group of finalists next season.
Not a fan of that theory. Where were all the Korean voters out in full force for Paul Kim? (I think that was his name, right?)
I really think AI WANTS Sanjaya there, any press is good press and Sanjaya has people talking about the show.. The producers sat some crazy crying little girl up front for Sanjayas performance and gave her TONS of camera time while he was singing.. Me personally, I love it I have never laughed so hard when he is on camera..
She is nuts...here is her myspace page. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=170944234
Agreed. There is something weird and twisted but at the same time entertaining to see him perform. As long as he doesn't make it into the top 6, I am okay with Sanjaya continuing on the show. On another note, I was not happy with Chris Richardson being in the bottom 2. I know his voice is weak at times but I really feel that he is the 2nd best male singer after Blake and should be getting a record contract. But if he doesn't make it into the top 6, that may not happen (him getting a record contract).
Agreed, but I think he will get a contract either way. Shoot, even Mario Vasquez, who quit before the top 12 started, got a contract and released a record. (Of course, he was my favorite to win it that year, so slightly different story...but just saying top 6 isn't completely necessary)
Blake Lewis, I have been watching his performance over and over, he is just good. Just amazing ! Actually, the two people I tune in to see each week are Blake and Sanjaya. I think Sanjaya is improving, and his trainwrecks are fun to watch. At least he's fun to watch. The one contestant I can't stand is Melinda. She's just an eyesore to look at. Unlike the judges, I don't think she can perform at all. She has no neck whatsoever. Her chin is lower than her shoulders. It's just weird.
so she cant perform because she has no neck and her chin is screwed up? shes probably the most talented girl singer on the show (her and lakeysha) i know she might look weird and all but she can sing, no doubt about that
