Agreed. McPhee is way hotter. Still, the comparison is very accurate. McPhee even has some of the exact same mannerisms and bubbly way of speaking that Rachael Ray has. It infuriates me, since I hate Rachael Ray, but I like Katharine McPhee.

Well, that almost goes without saying, isn't it. It's first and for most a reality TV show. I can believe producers balance talents with stories. But if you truly have talent, they will find stories for you. They always do.

Exactly. I never, for the a few I watched, find her disagreeing with Randy, or having any independent opinion. She basically rephrases what Randy says with her "i'll cheer you on". I guess that's why they seat her as the second to speak.

I agree. Pure talent should get you into the top 24. For example, Bo Bice got ZERO air time last year, and he almost won.

You should. I watched the first season, then skipped the next 3 because I thought I was too cool to watch it. But this season has been pretty entertaining. I'm starting to wish that I'd watched the last 3 seasons.

And yes, several of the ladies are VERY hot, although the hottest one got voted off last week.

    Don't forget, "You're a star".

When I saw the show last night, I got the impression that they were singling people out. I saw a few performances that were decent, but they ripped them apart. I then saw some that were ok, and the judges were drooling all over it.

I don't doubt that the judges try and steer the audience. It's obvious.

I just hope that there isn't hidden ballots.

    Just keep it fair.

Does anybody else think that Simon was trying to get Melissa voted off this week? I thought she sounded better than Ayla or Kellie, but Simon went out of his way to say that he thinks she'll be on her way home after that performance.

    I thought Ayla sounded terrible.

Or, "you took that song, and made it your own."

What I can't stand is before Paula says anything negative, she tells them how great they look.

Chicken Little had his worst performance yet, and that's saying something. If he isn't gone by tomorrow, I'll know this thing is rigged.

The bald rock singer is a one trick pony. He sings the same kind of song every week. Overrated...clap..clap...clap clap clap...

Mark Cuban was actually listenable for a change. Decent performance of Takin' It To The Streets. Still not great though.

I think the best guy is Gideon. I like his old-school style. He has a pretty good soulful voice too. He's kind of weird, but he's growing on me. I liked his performance the best last night.

It was actually one of the better shows where I think most of the guys did really well. Even Sylvester and the guy from Deliverance did ok and I can't stand either one

Chris, Ace, Mark Cuban, Giddeon, and Toad all did pretty good. The two best performances I think go to Ace and Mark Cuban even though I think its going to come down to Chris and Toad in the end. Mark Cuban tore up Michael McDonald.

As for the girls, I really like Katherine and Melissa. I don't feel Melissa is going to go much further but I like her voice because it is different. I also think that Lisa is REALLY good and prefer her with straight hair. I just don't trust someone with hair curled that tight.

I am starting to loathe Paris and Mandisathighsarehuge. I think its kind of ****ty to have a girl on there that has the kind of connections that Paris has and while Mandisathighsarehuge has an AMAZING voice, she just is not what I would consider an American Idol. It does come down to having a look. She ain't got it.

I think that the Tranny and either Ayla or Melissa for the girls are gone and Sylvester and Deliverance are adios for the guys. I think Kellie and The Woodlands are in the on deck circle.

Not looking forward to it! Gideon's arrogance annoys me...I'll feel like I did when Fantasia did well (didn't like her at all) if he does well.

Also, one trick pony doesn't necessarily mean you're no good...at least not for now. He'll get flushed out if that's the case when they're forced to sing 70's, 80's, Gloria Estefan, or whatever the hell stupid weekly themes come out this year later.

Glad to hear the dork will get bounced. Always hated him and his lisp..doesn't fit with singing

I agree.. he seems to be very well rounded, but he comes off as a nut case..

Chicken little and mini John Mayor (Woodlands Boy) are gone this week IMO..
