Thought I'd throw in an opinion since I'm into the show like a dork. (Yeah, I think Carrie Underwood is a good singer...but I was pretty sure she would be early on last season when she did the Heart song.) Anyway, Kinnik or whatever needs to go. Kevin and his lisp just CANNOT work, no matter how great a story or decent a voice he has. No one will go for it. He won't sell crap. They hafta know this. Do they feel like they'll be viewed as discriminatory if they comment on it? Cause none of the judges have mentioned it! I thought Sway was solid...esp. from his performances before this week and last week. Last week was ok..this week was kinda down, but I really thought he'd have been good if they kept him on. Oh well. My choice from the beginning of the 24 has been Taylor. Don't think he'll get it, but he's been my hope. My choice during the tryouts was Chris. Still think he has a good shot. I also like Paris' voice a lot...she might take it.
He picked the wrong song. Overjoyed is one of the hardest songs to sing ever. It has a key change basically every few measures so you really have to be on the pitch and be thinking ahead at all times. And that's not saying anything about the range you have to have to pull it off. That guy clearly wasn't ready for it. Mark Cuban and Chicken Little need to go ASAP. They're both horrible.
At this point, Chris Daughtry is in his own league, and I think he's the favorite overall, like a better Bo Bice. Picking a girl is hard, but I still think Katherine McPhee will turn it on... eventually. Of all the contestants, I think Taylor is the only one who has nothing to gain from the competition. If he gets eliminated, he'll still get a recording contract due to his unique sound. I went 4-4 in my American Idol picks this week! Thank God the tone deaf Crooner is gone. We have John Stevens to blame for people like him. And thank goodness for the axing of Brenna. What a total b****. Next week, Kevin and Kinnik must go.
I have avoided American Idol like the plague since its beginnings, but as I find myself having way too much free time lately, I've given in and gotten interested in it. That being said, I expected to come into this thread and see people raving about Elliot Yamin's performances thus far, but in skimming through 6 pages, I have yet to find even one mention of him PERIOD. What are you guys smoking? He's at WORST in the top 3 for both genders. He needs to get his teeth fixed, but he can do that when he wins.

whole lee chit. for the longest freaking time, i couldn't put my finger on it. i kept saying to myself, "that fool reminds me of someone." i just couldn't figure it out. now that you've said....BINGO! really, i was getting quite restless about it...like a needle poking my brain.
I can honestly say, I never have watched an episode of American Idol. Seriously. And looking at these ladies, I am regretting it. Damn those girls were pretty hot. I work evening shifts, so that's why I never get to watch tv. Hotties man, Hotties.
If I close my eyes, and pretend I didn't see her, she would still be hot. So she may have broader shoulders than me, and a more define jaw. Eh, so what? and a bigger package?
