Elliott mashed tonight, superior by far. Wish it was done with just the piano, the keyboard work in that song is about as famous as the lyrics.
I thought everyone was pretty bad except Elliott, Chris and maybe Paris. Kat seems to have lost her fastball. Taylor butchered "Just Once". Kellie lost the war of attrition...seemingly.
Dialidol still has Taylor as the #1 vote getter even if he butchered the song. If he can tank a song and people are still voting for him he has to be the front runner.
I think that when peoples favorites do bad they get votes from their fans who wouldn't normally vote just to keep them in the competition.
I didn't think Katherine was that bad, not sure why everyone was so down on her. Makes me think the fix is in. Paula Ab"duh" critiquing Katherine's voice is like Stromile Swift accusing Allen Iverson of not playing with heart. The Pickel girl was JUST HORRID tonight. She couldn't have been any worse. I'm not just saying that to pile on either. My ears are still bleeding. Her pitch was worse than Brad Lidge's pitch to Nomar the other night...

Right...that's like saying, "Vince Young can scramble...that's about it". Are you serious? Katherine has BY FAR the most developed voice of all the contestants. She's the whole package.
Yeah, it's not even close. None of those singers can compete with her vocally. That's why I was surprised to hear all 3 judges (especially that coked up no talent bimbo Paula Abdul) rag on her so much. She didn't deserve that. I'm starting to believe the rumors of the producers not wanting a female to win.
After last night, I think that Elliot may be my favorite contestant. Unfortunately I still don't think that he'll win, but that guy has a great voice and he knows how to use it better than any of the other contestants. For me, the bottom three should be the girls. I think that people are getting sick of Kelly and she's not a good singer now that it's pared down to the best of the best. She hasn't gotten this far on her voice for sure. Taylor needs to step it up. I think Chris has the better popular appeal over the long run. Katherine is a great talent, but I think that she isn't mature enough to make it much further. Paris is gone tonight IMO.
It's Kat's fault. She sang a song that exposed her weaknesses. She is a strong vocalist but last night was like Yao playing point guard. She is good at the songs that fit her but to do a watered down version of a Whitney Houston classic was poor decision making on her part. I like her and she'll probably win but every week each contestant is literally one bad decision away from elimination. Elliott Yamin has the momentum.
