I agree. I sit here watching the show with my wife and all I can do is talk about how hot Catherine is. Seriously, wow. How many people get cut tomorrow? I think Kelly was the worst tonight, but I still think she'll get the personality votes.

To those who thought Chris "killed" the Stevie Wonder song, do me a favor: Download RHCP's version of Higher Ground. He played it very similarly. I'm guessing the judges hadn't heard RHCP's version. I still like Taylor the best.
when they were gushing about how he "made it his own", I wondewred the same damn thing. Is it possible these music industry people have never heard the RHCP version? Cause he did that version kareoke style...if it wasnt for the fact the bassist cant touch Flea..it sounded just like that version. I honestly wasnt that impressed with alot of them doing Stevie's stuff...maybe cause I have such high regard for the fabulous Mr Wonder.
Ditto. Taylor killed tonight IMO. Does anyone else notice how Ace keep rubbing on Ryan Seacrest and the other guys on the show? After he gave a performance a couple weeks ago the girls came over to give him a hug to show support, and he just walked pass them. I'm thinking Ace might be the next George Michael.

THis is the one and ONLY time I thought Kevin wasn't horrible. I'm not sure why. But that doesn't excuse him from being cut, since he's been terrible every other time, including in audition rounds and all. Kellie was the obviously bad one, but she won't be cut. I hope Paris goes like others have said, b/c she can make it w/out this show. Chris was so-so this time i thought. Taylor was awesome. The rest didn't make much of an impression on me I guess..
Taylor is my favorite, even though I didn't see the rawness tonight that I really like about him. But, it was nice to see what he could be as more of a finished product. I don't know if he's ever going to beat the 'Takin' it to the Streets' for me because the image of him doing that arm wind-up thing will always be stuck in my head. Chris is another favorite, but I was unimpressed last night. I'm sure that it was a huge relief when he found out that song was a Stevie Wonder song. About the only other song that would work for him would probably be Superstitious, which Bucky was lucky to get. Katherine was great and she'll have no problem. She's got the total package of looks and singing ability, but sometimes she comes across as being a little immature. Kelly is probably my favorite girl even though she was not good tonight. But, in the three years that I've been watching, I haven't seen a contestant that is half as adorable as this girl is. My wife hates little country bumpkin girls like that and even she is starting to like Kelly. All this time, I have been ready for Kevin (Chicken Little) to get voted off, but tonight was the first time that I enjoyed his performance. He doesn't seem to really take himself seriously and he has these ridiculous dance things, but he is a decent singer. When he goes for a note, I expect for it not to be there, but it comes out nicely. He sings with a lisp, but I hope he makes it another week or two. I don't know how many get voted off this week, but I think that it will be Bucky and Melissa.
Hey, i havent had time to watch this season or read the earlier portions of this thread, but i was looking at the Idol website. How in the hell did America vote off that Becky O Donahue? Smokin! That's my American Idol!!
oh yeah, no prediction yet. I think Bucky is gone for sure. If there are 2.. then Melissa maybe? Elliott maybe since he doesn't seem popular?
Overall the show was LAME IMO.. I thought WAAAAAAY too many people were just plain and BORING.. Chris, Taylor and Lisa were the only people I thought were good the others were just all the same.. MELISSA MCGHEE will be gone.. "AND THAT'S A FACT.. JACK!!"

That Pickler girl is banking on her (fake) personality getting her through. Does anyone else think it's a total act? I sure do. Chicken Little was OK tonight, I thought he'd crash and burn. He still doesn't deserve to be there. I thought Mellissa (and her amazing breasts) were great. Why all the hate? Strictly vocally, you gotta go with Man-Lisa or Catherine and Taylor as a darkhorse. I'm telling you, that dude is growing on me. Bucky Beaver was his normal AWFUL self. It's time for that mountain trash to go back home to his trailer, and I say that with the greatest of respect.
The music carried him. His performance was crap. The judges just weren't familiar with the RHCP version of the song so they thought he rocked when it was really just the music. He sucked. Haha Ima, I told you Taylor would grow on ya. Pickler didn't deserve the crap the judges gave her. Paris is great. Too bad she is being told to "act young" etc. I like when she sings the Billie Holiday etc.
Well, if American Idol was based on just looks, i'd agree. unfortunately, i dont' think she really belonged in the top 24 with her voice. speaking of looks, if they just showed reruns of Catherine McPhee I'd be happy.
Yeah, like a WART. If he would just lose the Elaine Benes dancing style, he would be great. Everyone at my work is talking about how great Chris was last night. Obviously, they've never heard the RHCP's version of that song because he just totally copied it. And it wasn't that good either.
