Adam Lambert is the ONLY AI contestant in the last 3 seasons I would go see perform live and pay money for it. The dude is absolutely brilliant - I know some Tears for Fears but I didn't know that song but after 10 seconds of hearing him sing it, I was entranced by it.

Here are my rankings (based on last night's performances):
    1 - Adam
2 - Matt (I thought he absolutely slayed the Stevie song even though it is probably one of the easier Stevie songs to sing)
3 - Anoop (he is doing great at singing ballads but nothing else it seems)
4 - Allison (easily the best female singer left)
5 - Danny (he is starting to get on my nerves - it is always the same thing with him every week)
6 - Lil (tried too hard to sound like Tina Turner even to the point of trying to dress the way she did in the video to that song - when is she ever going to sing a Mary J Blige or Alicia Keys song?)
7 - Kris (an absolutely wretched self-indulgent performance that bordered on sounding like a Mark Anthony salsa reject version of that song)
8 - Scott (I'm sure he is a nice guy but he really needs to go and go now)

Overall rankings (taking last night's episode into account):
    1 - Adam
2 - Matt (pushes his way back to #2)
    3 - Allison
4 - Danny (even though he is getting to be annoying)
5 - Kris (was higher but his performance from last night pushed him down)
    6 - Anoop
    7 - Lil
    8 - Scott

Scott should be sent home but he will probably stay another week. My prediction is Lil Rounds gets sent packing.

I think the judges would probably just berate her for trying too hard to sound like Mary J Blige or Alecia Keys. Seriously, this poor girl can’t win. She’s certainly isn’t the best, but clearly she has some pipes. I just think people are too hard on her for some reason. Maybe because she’s too similar to the girl who won a few years ago?

Well I guess I can explain that it gives you Adam's song last night to Herberts picture from family guy. I was pretty accurate in my opinion.

how horrible. that cover was simply terrible.

pink, usher, nelly, creed. all had multiple hits in 2002 that would have been able to encompass each of the vocal ranges.

no surprise with anoop, scott, and lil... i would have been ok with any of them going home, and no shocker they gave scott a shot to save himself. i can't exactly say wow to the decision to let him leave, because this was a few weeks in the making.

They should have saved him. The save is stupid anyway. Might as well give it to the blind guy. After they get to top 5 they can't have anybody anyway. I think the only reason they kept it was because it allows the judges have this idiotic song and dance at the end of the night.

i think they give everyone a shot to save themselves, even if they've already decided. With Megan, I thought they were just out of time and so they didnt' go through the motions. But I don't think there was any chance they were gonna save Sarver or any of the others who sang, even if they tried to make it seem like they had a shot

what? not a pun on your name.. the save is stupid so USE it on the guy who's not good?

if Allison had gone home either of the last 2 weeks when she was in the bottom 3, she would have been saved. That's what it's there for. Why save a guy who sucks when they could save someone like Allison next week if she's still doing great..

Just get rid of the stupid save and let the judges decide who goes home out of the bottom 3 like I've been saying.

Not saying Scott deserved it, but to go through this stupid song and dance every week is pushing on annoyance.

I can't believe they almost saved Scott...he's been horrible for weeks now. If he wasn't blind they would have torn him a new one yesterday instead of just saying that it wasn't his best performance...

Ima props to you. I haven't been on the board in awhile, but I remember you expressing how awful you thought Adam was. I was thinking to myself, "I wonder if Ima has come around yet...." And sure enough, you have.

IMO, we are all watching a legend in the making. Adam's voice, his stage presence, his emotions and the way he just brings you into his performance and its like he actually becomes the song. I think this guy is amazing. That mad world performace was hands down the best ever on Idol. And Adam Lamber, man he's just going to be a superstar. I got chills from that mad world performance. I just can't get over it.

I've been defending him against people that said he sucks..

but I don't think his performance this week was his best, much less "the best ever on Idol". There have been some absolutely perfect performances in the past, and his wasn't that this week. It was pretty good.

And I definitely don't agree on "legend in the making". He's good, and he'll get a contract no matter what happens out of this. I don't think he'll be as big as the most famous 2 idols so far, though. (in terms of sales)

America can be stupid sometimes, plus it eliminates people from trying to vote through contestants who have no business moving forward. I think it would make for a better quality show.

If you look at many of the other judged, reality shows, there is some combination of fan voting and judges decisions that determines who stays and who goes. I guess Idol is unique in that they only rely on fan voting, but then that uniqueness, imo, has been somewhat of a weakness.

They were wrong about lil rounds, and that pisses me off. It is clear that they want her off the show this week. Her version of that song was probably the best performance of the night, gokey was good and anoop, but lil rounds was by far the best performance of the night.

    I'm voting lil rounds.

I like Lil too, but Adam is a man among boys and 2 girls...that guy is in another stratosphere.

    OVER.

Everyone but Adam is boring. Every single week.

I can't believe any person would buy an album by any of the others.

i'll agree that adam has IT, and should/will win this thing... but i think he once again ruined a classic (the other being cash). i bet his original material will be pretty good, i just don't want him covering anymore songs.
