I don't understand why Matt G was in the bottom three, while McIntyre and Megan get more votes when quite obviously they were far worse then him.
because the show is a popularity contest first and foremost... which also explains why michael was booted tonight.
He was booted off because he was bad, along with Megan and Scott,plus there's the fact that he appeared to be ready to leave. His statements after the Judge's critique on Wednesday sounded like Tony Romo after the loss to the Eagles last season. Basically he was happy to be there and if he leaves no sweat, he's made the top 10. Dude wanted to be out and be with his family and I think it was a waste of our time to make him sing the song again at the end.
another week down, time to getcha guesses in. i think MJ is now done. the other bottom 2 will probably be anoop, and.... matt ferrari i agree with you, he didn't need to sing it again.
Kris is a sure fire dark horse candidate. Just seems the judges heap so much praise on other contestants he kind of is forgotten at times. But he was the best tonight, followed by Adam. Anoop, Megan and Lil should be bottom three. Time for Megan to go. Don't understand that judges criticized Matt's performance when Danny did pretty much the same damn thing....only difference is Danny sucked and Matt didn't.
kris adam allison scott lil gokey anoop matt megan Kris and Adam were original...but they also hit pretty much every note. I think Allison did too, but her's was especially short...and for once I agree that what she wore was actually distracting. No clue why the judges praised Gokey so much (and I usually think he's great)--cause he was pretty bad this week. Off on so many notes. Usually Randy is all over that. I hope Matt stays, hope Megan goes.. don't like Lil, and Anoop is started to seem cocky cause you can see him holding back his defensiveness even when he doesn't respond to the criticism
I can't stand Adam. If he would only stop wailing away on the microphone like he was Cher on acid, and stop with the hip thrusts and wannabe seductive dances, he's a decent singer. I just can't stand the wailing. Not my cup of tea... Megan was God-awful. Scott was pretty bad. Lil, I thought was bad, despite fairly good critique. Kris was excellent. He's the most consistent performer of the group. Danny was alright. Matt, I thought was good, despite the judges. It was just too karaoke. Props to him for singing something current, though. I missed Anoop's performance. Allison was pretty good. I liked her version over the original, actually. I would just wish for a better arrangement. Top 3: Kris Adam Allison Bottom 3: Megan Scott(Although, I don't think he'll get voted in...sympathy vote) Lil Megan should go home.
I agree with this for the most part. The only real disagreements are that I didn't like Allison's performance at all compared to the original, and I didn't think Matt was very good. Everything is spot on though.
Megan has been chosen as the "vote for the worst" candidate, exactly like Sanjaya last year. She will make it longer than the others due to the fact that she is the worst contestant.
This doesn't surprise me at all. As a matter of fact, I thought I had said something about this like I had a hunch that she was the candidate that site was pimping. You know what was so bad about her last night? It was after the judges (thankfully having come to their senses) ripped her a new one, she defiantly told Seacrest that "all of her fans" are voting for her. Uh, no you idiot. People are only voting for you because you suck so bad and they hate the show and like to see people who enjoy the show like myself and others in this thread get pissed to see your stupid, no dancing, tatted up ass in the competition! I really hope that Matt doesn't get eliminated tonight but I have a bad feeling that he is the one that will go. Maybe the judges will use the save but considering how much they hated his song, would he still have to sing the same song? I am thinking that the bottom 3 will be Megan, Anoop, and Matt with Anoop or Matt getting sent home. My overall rankings (to reflect last night's performances): 1 - Adam 2 - Kris 3 - Danny (despite him singing a song I absolutely detest) 4 - Allison (even though she looked absolutely ridiculous last night) 5 - Matt 6 - Lil (she continues to flounder and what was up with the wig last night?) 7 - Scott (gave his best performance of the season last night but he still is one of the weaker ones left) 8 - Anoop (his time may be running out) 9 - Megan (she should have never made it this far in the first place and don't get me started on other things about here or I will be here all day )
i'd like to see matt or anoop go home, both are just extremely boring to me. dialidol has megan at the bottom, with allison and anoop a bit ahead of her dialidol has gotten the prediction correct on who's going home the last three weeks.
I agree with most of what Manny and Tb said. I think the judges would use their save if it's Matt today. And I don't think they'd use it on Megan (obviously), Anoop, or Scott. And if it's somehow Allison (based on the dialidol results you reported above), they'll 100% use their save.
oh and I loved when Seacrest was talking and Megan said "But hey I had fun doing it" or whatever, and you heard Simon *loudly* in the background go "But you say that every week!!" in a frustrated tone.. seems like the kind of attitude they try to keep the judges from having, but sometimes it just comes out (it had a "stfu" tone to it, in my opinion)
I think Megan ("Lady Caw Caw") might be the worst finalist in the history of American Idol. Crappier than Scott Savol. More awful than John Stevens. Worse than Carmen Rasmusen. Substandard compared to Kevin Covais. Inferior to even Sanjaya. How she even made it past Hollywood week is a mystery to me.
check, check, don't know Carmen, close b/c I hated Covais's lisp, check i assume she made it b/c they didn't have enough females and she was good looking and sounded weird enough that they figured someone out there would vote for her 'uniqueness'
several beers in again, and i now know what bothers me about a couple of contestants.... scott...i know some blind people, more blind than this guy, who seem to get around MUCH better than he does. i'm annoyed by anyone who gets ahead solely on disability, and this guy is obviously playing the sympathy card. adam...this guy looks way too old to be sporting the emo look. it's like a 40 year old from iowa trying to be a glam rocker. if you didn't grow up in LA in the 70s it just doesn't fly. so to me, adam had to be rocking some other personna until the emo fad hit and now he's decided that what's popular now and he's jumping on the bandwagon. very disingenuous. that said, again, i'd much rather scott or anoop leave tonight. unfortunately, both are safe now. since it's down to megan or allison, i'm glad it's megan.
they were all awful before..some have improved. Regardless, I hope that's not a skill she'll need to learn
I said the exact same thing as I was watching the show. I know they can't do it, but it'd be cool if the contestants refused to do those stupid songs unless they actually got to sing them live....
