That sounds like an opinion piece more than anything. I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the 4 people named will most likely end up being the final 4.

That's kind of like saying that the NBA is rigged because an unnamed source tells me that they have already decided that the lakers will win their division.

Oh ok I get it. Well they are still trying to do what So You Think You Can Dance and ABDC has always done, only do it in a far inferior way. This just comes off gimmicky to me.

I don't even know why they have country week. Most of these singers don't even know any good country songs.

Lil' for one could have sung The Chokin' Kind, there are several RB flavored versions of that song.

Scott should have done Behind Closed Doors, the classic song be Charlie Rich.

Danny and several of the singers could have picked T. Graham Brown songs.

I think adam should have sung I got the lovesick blues.

I wish they would have done a few more current songs.

In my opinion, Allison should have absolutely done "Two Sparrows In a Hurricane," the Lorrie Morgan song. I would put her voice closest to Lorrie Morgan's when it comes to country.

As far as my rankings go:

    Matt G
    Anoop
    Danny
    Allison
    Kris
    Megan
    Lil
    Alexis
    Sarver
    Adam

Matt will be out. He should have shined. Should have sung a more current song. But his voice is just not up to par. People fell in love with his story.

Adam, once again, was God-awful. Johnny Cash is rolling in his grave right now. It was like a cross-dresser tried to sing in a seductive way at a Burlesque club. Just awful.

Alexis and Lil were very disappointing.

Scott is kind of wearing on me. He's a good artist and all, I just don't think he's better than a lot of people in this competition.

Megan surprised me tonight. She actually sang pretty well. She kind of has a Norah Jones-type feel to her voice(I shouldn't make this comparison because I've only ever heard "I don't know why," but I think she would do well with that song). She just has no stage presence.

Kris did great with a Garth song. Garth Brooks is the man, and I only wish they sang more of his songs. I was hoping like crazy that last year during country week, David Cook would totally rock out "The Thunder Rolls." I think that would be a great thing to see.

Allison, like I said, did pretty well. I would have liked to see her sing some Lorrie Morgan, though.

Danny was alright. I agree with everything the judges said.(i.e. the beginning was flat)

Anoop was very impressive. He went back to his roots, which is what he needs to do. He could go further than we all thought...

Matt Giraud, I think is very underrated. I'm glad it seems like people are catching on to him. He's great behind the piano (He seemed to play the piano better than Scott, in my opinion), and he's great without a piano. I picked him and/or Danny to win it all at the beginning of this, and I'll stand by that.

    Sarver goes home, though.

Eddie, you think Garth Brooks is the man?

Take a listen to Chokin Kind by Joe Simon or Joss Stone. The song was orinially done by Waylon Jennings. Or For the Good Times, the Al Green version. T. Graham Brown's Tell it like it used to be. They could have done any number of Ronnie milsap songs that were far better.

Some of them did pretty good in getting cool country songs: The Patty Loveless song was probably the closest to a real country song choice.

There are several Clint Black songs that would have been a good choice. Loving blind comes to mind.

Garth Brooks is one of my favorite artists. I like just about every song he had.

I agree, Clint Black would have been fun to see.

Just because Megan sounds like an Eastern Euro girl who doesn't speak English when she sings, doesn't mean she's relevant. And she swings her arms like a toddler. Judges love her, and so does my wife, but I can't stand her.

I think by far and away Danny Gokey was superior. Him and Simon are right, you can't come out blazing that song, which leads to what Paula said, its a story. That song is a story. He wasn't flat, he was superior in all aspects of tha song, which is why he got the twice the ovation of anyone else on that stage.

Matt really was phenominal too. I just don't think he has the chops of Gokey, Allison.

Allison was awesome, very raw. I like that she's feels so seasoned and comfortable up on stage.

Anoop's main problem for me is that he is very flat very often. He picked it up at the end though and powered through a great performance.

Chris was very good also. That makes my top 5 for the week.

Im going to call it now. Blind Man is gone after this week.

No way. Not yet at least. He's good and is probably drawing some sympathy votes. That will put him through. And there are others far more deserving of going home.

Adam is getting way too weird to stay on the show. But if he gets voted off, you know the judges are going to save him.

How can you do Johnny Cash that way. He doesn't respect music. He should have just done "Hurt" that would have been just as painful to watch.

Please bear with me, as I still don’t know any of these guys names…

The guy who sung the Garth song is pretty much out of his league. I still see him as a chubby guy with a makeover. He looks like a contestant on The Pickup Artist. His voice is nothing special.

The 16 year old girl is annoying as hell, but you gotta admit…she doesn’t sing like a 16 year old. Very raw voice which is a nice change of pace from all these silly teen pop sensations. I enjoyed her song. My wife hates her though.

Anoop was OK. Maybe I’m just biased, but I only like the way Willie does that song and to hear someone else do it….well, it just doesn’t seem right.

Lil was a lil disappointing. I like her, but she wasn’t that great last night. She probably won’t win because she is too similar to Fantasia.

The little girl who sang Jolene was OK. Judges didn’t like her, but I didn’t thing she was that bad. She needs to shut up and not be so defensive when the judges are talking to her though. She’s digging her own grave when she does that.

The blind guy, man, he’s just not cutting it. His pitch was all over the place and he’s not even the best piano player in the competition. He needs to go this week.

Adam…..GOD DAMN, he was just HORRID. I’m glad Simon finally came to his senses and trashed him. They all should have done it last week too. He was also disrespectful to Randy Travis and The Grand Ol Opry. Who does he think he is? What a jackass. That guy just needs to be shot and put out of his misery. And I say that with the greatest of respect.

The dueling piano guy….man, I really like his song. I think he was the best performer of the night. Clearly the most talented of the whole bunch. He’s been bringing it the last 2 weeks. I hope he goes far.

Gokey was good too. He was my 2nd favorite of the night. Such a soulful voice for a chubby white guy.

Why were the judges harping on everyone for singing verses? Is everyone just supposed to skip right through to the chorus??

I'm a fan of Kris and thought he was excellent with the Garth song.

Anoop and Matt Giraud did quite well also.

I like lil but I don't get the amount of love she receives from the fans and judges. She's alright but not that good. I did prefer her performance yesterday to all her previous perfomances.

The less said about Adam Lambert the better. After the first few notes I said that I hoped they'd call him out on being self-indulgent in his perfomance and for destroying the song. Thankfully Simon did.

MEGAN-WTF! How is she still on? Don't get me wrong, I like her voice a little bit and the kind of musical genre that fits her but c'mon. If I have to see her do her horrid "dance" on stage anymore I'll break the TV. WTF is up with her moving her arms then placing it on her hips and slightly moving her hips? It's like some horrible attempt at dancing.

Danny-I'm also a big danny fan but it seems like fans and the judges need to chill. I like the dude, I don't think he will win(Allison or Matt G all the way) and I don't even think he's in Elliot Yamin's league and he and Elliot have the same tone.

I like Scott, I know he's not the best but he's still decent and I hope he lasts in the competition longer than Megan, Adam or Sarver.

Sarver should be off the show today or Megan or Adam Lambert. I hope the latter two leave real quick.

dialidol shows Allison, Megan and Alexis in the bottom three. I'd much rather see Michael or Scott go home. I think those dudes are clearly not as good as the rest. oh well.

Matt is my pick based on talent alone. Allison is probably my favorite of the women.

He was great last night, true to himself....he is clearly NOT a country singer.

If he had done the Sad Kermit version of Hurt, that would have been awesome. :D

This is one of my favorite AI clichés. “You stayed true to yourself.”

    Some others:

“You made that song your own!”
“It was very vulnerable…” Abdul said that 3 times last night.
“It sounded like karaoke.” Well duh! If you sing someone else’s song, of course it going to sound karaoke. That’s what karaoke is!

Abdul just says whatever she thinks everyone else is going to say. I loved it when she told that guy he was very “artistic” for including a harp player in his song. Uh….how does someone else playing a harp make you “artistic”? And isn’t there a harp in the original song? I guess Adam was “artistic” too for including drums in his song. LOL.
