yea and there is a reason for that, nba teams are not running a charity in TMac's name.... so stop comparing the two.

Tmac's numbers are underwhelming compared to what he usually does and his shooting %s are borderline disgusting. Sure, Rocket fans know about the things he does that don't show up in the box score but he doesn't deserve higher than 3rd team IMO.

Yao was injured for so many games I would not have had a problem with him being left out. His days as the #1 Center are probably over now that Dwight has become a 20/15 type of player.

Let's just hope both guys stay healthy next season and win what really matters.

It's actually kind of impressive that Yao snuck on the third team.

Yao Ming played 55 games this season. Amare played 79 but for 28 of those Shaq was on the team. Thats 55 vs.51, advantage Yao. You could also argue that Amare never really plays center. If you have seen him play he does PF things and never protects the rim or plays post defense the way a center should. I wouldn't mind if they switched the positions to say Duncan was the center and Amare was the other foward.

I'm not disappointed that McGrady is on the third team. McGrady didn't lead the Rockets to a 55-win season, he aided the team to a 55-win season. Yao played a great role in this season. After all, the Rockets started clicking when he was not playing and the team was distributing the ball within the motion offense. His teammates gained confidence during this absence. His field goal percentage is disappointing even for a shooting guard (I'd like him to be at 45%). And the Rockets were being blown out constantly by most of the top teams after the winning streak was broken, even though they won the games they should have won.

P.S. I don't hate T-Mac. Not making the third-team would be a travesty of the highest order. I don't believe that the team is better without him (I just believe that the team needed his short absence to gain confidence in themselves). I believe that he can integrate himself into the motion offense, and that when he is healthy, he is a top 5 guard in the NBA. He just wasn't healthy this season even when he was playing, and it limited his ability to take it to the rack for higher percentage shots.
