Although I think Tmac should be on the 2nd team, this is much fair rankings than some people's. Those people even voted AI and Melo for the ASG.
deron over tracy? meh... i guess i'm fine with that. NASH OVER TRACY? wtf? nash? r u serious? oh well... maybe next time. maybe when we get healthy and show them up... next season... or the season after that... or the season after the season that is after the next season.
And I think you give far too little credit for THE facilitator of our basketball team. Take him off our squad and watch us be lottery bound. his percentages might not be off the charts, but anyone watching the games can see he's the main reason we won that many games. He sets those guys up that you are saying played out of their minds. If it's not directly from a pass from him, it's from the attention defenses give him. I mean come on man. You don't have to be a TMac apologist or hater to imagine a McGrady-less AND Yao-less team would be pretty ugly. Instead we won 55 games.
Kevin Garnett does not belong on the first team. Going by statistics, no. Going by impact, still no. If thats the case, then both Yao and Tmac should be on 1st team. Tmac is the big reason why we get 50+ wins each year ever since he's been on this team. Same thing with Yao (if he can ever stay healthy). Sorry, but I just think he's completely overrated at this point. But I guess he's just a media darling in the sports world. Peopel forget that he's playing alongside Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, AND he's playing in the East. I would've voted both Yao and Tmac as 2nd team, and I am really being objective about it too.
Mac should've been 2nd team this year. I can see Williams on there, but Nash over McGrady is just stupid. When the Suns were floundering, the Rockets were off the charts. Whatever. At least he wasn't left off the team completely. It's a testament to how good Yao is (or if you're a pessimist, how few great big men there are) that he made the team in spite of missing a huge chunk of the season.
there's zero argument that mcgrady shouldn't be on the second team. he was snubbed. it seems like yao didn't play enough to get an all-nba team recognition but then who do you put there? lol, dwight amare and yao are going to be rotating on those 3 teams for a while.
you guys are insane. i'm as big of a rockets fan as they come, and even if you could bump nash off the 2nd team, there's no doubt in my mind that manu deserves to be on the 2nd team more than tmac does.
Manu Ginobli? The guy who has bombed in the playoffs against the Hornets thus far? The floppin' Argentianian A-hole?
Manu is on a squad with a fully healthy top 10 player of all time and another all-star PG. T-Mac has far less help with Yao out 1/3 of the season, still manages to win 22 straight(something most players weren't even alive to see last time it happened) and was still in the mix for the top seed all-season. It's a travesty that Williams and Nash are on the 2nd team over him.
Manu didn't bomb against the Phoenix series and the Hornets series is not over yet. This is a regular season award. Manu had a great season too.
He scored 8, 19, and 13 the last three games. Anyone who puts up these numbers in the playoffs should not even be considered an All Teamer
It is a joke that the guy who won 6th man award is on the third All NBA team. One of the honors or both are meaningless.
