Yeah it's not been our best year but think about it, us at our worst is still good enough to win the division. I guess I still feel confident about this series but Minny scares me more the Rangers because they have had our number this year and we know (as we've seen) how clutch Correa. Just tell our guys to imagine Sonny Grey in a Yankees uniform and we'll be alright tuesday.
Three games. to play, first team to win two advances. It is actually pretty simple. They had a hot pitcher tonight and we had 10 ERA Valdez. It happens. This is a team that loves the road. Go make it happen. And if they don't, season over. I say they take the series.
Twins are a little better than their record. Lewis missed 2 months. He's a .900 OPS guy. But Astros biggest problem is their manager doesn't help them win games. Are we good enough to overcome him again? Not sure. The situation is pathetic and insane. Stros are a great road team so at least there's that.
Sorry to break it to you guys but dusty has all but set our fate. By not starting or at least PH Diaz for maldy we’ve given ourselves a major handicap. even if we beat the twins I can’t see us winning with dusty making the decisions
I don't get this fear of Correa, that's one ex Astro on a trash team.... We have like 10 of those guys on the current roster that are just as clutch and have been there and done that. What scares me is not Minny being good, they aren't... They are hot at the right moment, they aren't good. I'm scared of The Astros not even getting past these scrubs in the alds... Because even Oakland was able to sweep them. I just want them to wake up and take care of business...
They may be better than their record but This Astros team is way way better than their record as well. Shouldn't be this hard for Dusty to put on his best players.. We have 20 hr guy just rotting away for Moldy.... Insane...
Greg Lucas points out Maldy had more homers and Diaz hit almost as many because all the rest he gets...
The lack of playing time for Yainer Diaz is depressing. He's had two at bats in the post season. Two! That's entirely unacceptable. Dusty going ride or die with Maldonado will probably be the undoing of the season. It's incredibly disappointing.
It’s a freakin’ tragedy. This is why he wouldn't let Diaz catch anyone but the young fringe starters and rookie hunter brown all season. The front office allowing him to do it is the worst part.
