This is Framber. Looks amazing, gives up 2 runs, looks amazing and ends up with a quality start. The offense needs to scratch out some runs.
Valdez has come a long ways though. Still remember those 4 inning/6-7 k/6 BB games from a few years ago.
You forgot the walk. He was obviously (visibly) rattled and his location was reflecting that. 2 runs isnt a back breaker, and hes recovered but its not like they just hit him
statistically doesn't really matter. that kind of stuff can be taken with a grain of salt, especially in the postseason. how many times have the stros been burned themselves by improbable players. plenty. the bottom of the lineup of the padres just destroyed one of the top teams in the league the mets and against one of the top pitching trios in the league
I understand and agree partially but what im saying is you cant rely on the bottom 3 night in and night out. They can get you a game here and there but the the top 2/3 need to perform to consistently win
Not sure he's pitching scared, more so just losing command a bit. When Valdez had his command he was throwing strike after strike, so he was never worried about the lineup .
