We've taken out the big dog in the playoffs from an attention standpoint. So think left for me to root for is the Mets or Cubs to meet us in the world series. The Cubs are probably the big attention draw. As the impending epic collapse is popcorn viewing pleasure. KC is probably the sexiest team in the AL from a rooting standpoint, but think most fans will be rooting for us as the little guys.
For me, just so everyone has a game plan, it was orange powerade and hot chicken wraps from peri peri. That did in the Yankees. And I am stickin with the chicken.
Gomez is out. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="da" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> 10/8 Lineup 1.J Altuve 2.G Springer 3.C Correa 4.C Rasmus 5.E Gattis 6.L Valbuena 7.C Carter 8.J Castro 9.J Marisnick</p>— Daily MLB Lineups (@DailyMLBLineup) <a href="https://twitter.com/DailyMLBLineup/status/652210072194445312">October 8, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Official lineup card, no Gomez. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Astros lineup: <a href="http://t.co/3PLNH9ly7j">pic.twitter.com/3PLNH9ly7j</a></p>— Jose de Jesus Ortiz (@OrtizKicks) <a href="https://twitter.com/OrtizKicks/status/652217411031142400">October 8, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I am laughing so hard that Carter is starting for us after the amount of hate this board gave him hahaha. Man beasted the last month.

It was well deserved. He was simply horrid for 5/6 of the season. I was on that bandwagon. He has been playing well of late but that doesn't mean he couldn't have been replaced with more consistent production earlier on. In terms of what we have, he's absolutely the right person to be starting at 1st. He's hitting and the other options aren't (Lowrie and Gonzalez).
"In 1957 major league manager Bobby Bragan placed his best hitter in the leadoff position and the remainder of his lineup in descending batting average order. Earnshaw Cook in his 1966 book, Percentage Baseball, claimed that, using a computer, Bragan's lineup would result in 1 to 2 more wins per season. A recent computer simulation demonstrates the superiority of Bragan's lineup." Link
