I couldn't disagree more with you. Starting Kazmir tomorrow makes perfect sense. This team already stole (I mean that in the best way possible) one in KC. If Kazmir comes out tomorrow and pitches a great game and this team wins, then the rest of the league better watch out because we just found a very dangerous 1-2-3 combo in the rotation. If he falls flat on his face, then it's still 1-1 and the series goes back home with Keuchel waiting on them. And of course, we probably never see Kazmir in an Astros uniform again.
Kazmir also pitched 7 scoreless in Kansas City on his Astros debut. I agree though this is make or break for Kazmir. He pitches outstanding we are a serious threat. He pitches bad, he won't pitch again in an Astros uniform. Fiers likely takes his spot in the postseason rotation.
Seriously people are way too hard on Kazmir. He had a bad September but he has a long track record of being quite good if not great. And clearly the best pitcher available. It's the right move.
bud selig is long gone, so i have faith no issues with our roof. i'm pumped. first things first, though, kazmir with a win.
Interesting stat from the MLB Network. Most wins in MLB since Aug 1, 2014 (regular season) McHugh 26 Arrieta 26 Kershaw 24 Greinke 24 Bumgarner 24

All that rep and you actually typed that Nothing wrong with supporting your alma mater, but a Houstonian not cheering for UH is silly. Then, after going off topic, you claim you don't wanna go off topic. More silliness
Great game Early results say our young guys (Altuve, Keuchel, and Springer) are more clutch than Biggio and Bagwell. Correa needs to pick it up. Keep it rollin H!!!
Baseball Playoff scheduling is so stupid! I, like many others, will be at work when they're playing. Fortunately, I'm on the east coast and plan on leaving a bit early so I may end up missing the first 30 minutes of the game.
I'm stuck at work til 4. And then I'll be on the road for at least 40 minutes heading back to the other end of town. Odds are I won't catch any of Game 2 on TV unless it's on at the gym and who knows if they even get FS1? Oh well, I'll just have to check the ESPN scoreboard and catch the highlights later.
I know, and that pisses me off. To a degree I understand not allowing a home team to take advantage of situational elements, but if a team agrees to have the roof closed at all times, that should be their choice. If that roof is open Sunday, I'm going to be some kind of pissed.
