I would equate it to play-calling in the NFL. Don't blame Schaub for throwing that pick 6 against Seattle at home. Blame the ****** who called the play.

That's right ! But at least McHugh is good we just have to get to Cueto early and McHugh has to pitch deep in the game

Not pitching Friers this series in any way shape or form so far is coming back to bite the Astros in the ass

Yeah, but let's not forget the Stros still had 2 more shots to close that one out and Roy Oswalt on the mound. As bad as we all felt after that blown save by Lidge, I don't recall too many people sweating our chances in Game 6. In fact, I think most fans expected a win. Also, that was a veteran team with a ton of experience.

This on the other hand is a young, raw ballclub and there is no way of knowing how they'll respond. Plus they've got only one shot at redemption and McHugh, as good as he is, is no Oswalt.

I say for the next game Hinch should make any pitcher available even Keuchel or Kazmir

I agree...take a page outta the San Francisco Giants playbook. Otherwise the statistics gonna fall back in the Royals hands just like we're seeing now...get to our bullpen is all they want to do now

This loss hurts, but it's nowhere near as painful as that Pujols homer off Lidge (and besides, the Astros won the next game with Roy O on the mound).

I partly blame Harris and partly blame Hinch for allowing the Royals to come back. Hinch trusts Harris too much.

If any young team can, it's this Astros team. Also, McHugh has been pitching well lately and pitched great in game 1, and we did a decent job against Cueto in game 2 despite losing that game.

"I'm perfectly calm, dude! Calmer than you are!"

At least the Rangers are losing. This brings me peace.

I just dont understand how the Astros BP can choke with so much momentum going into the 8th. I guess they're just that bad.
