Him and Smoltz aren't really that bad to listen to. Smoltz knows exactly what he's talking about. It's Matt Vasgersian that annoys the crap out of me. He knows literally nothing. He called the home run to Perez a breaking ball, which I think 99 percent of people watching the game baseball fan or not knew it was a fastball. Not to mention his annoying tendency to really get excited when the Royals do something right...
He has the upside to be a #1. He has an absolute elite pitch, another very good pitch and an average pitch. A little better command and he can be a top of the rotation starter. That start against Dallas skewed his stats, but he has been exceptional this year, especially when you consider that he had just finished "A+" ball at this point a year ago.
