The magnitude of how the 'scandal' keeps getting amplified is stunning.

The writers have dramatized and invested so much time in making it into something... they have no idea how this is happening... when really it isn't that hard to see why the Astros lineup is good.

In the end, the stories are going to be more about "they didn't need to do anything in 2017" vs. "they gotta be still doing something".... which is exactly what happened with the Patriots/Belichick.

Someone with more medical knowledge when it comes to pitching answer me this...

How likely is Greinke able to get back to normal health for next series? Can he get like a cortisone shot or anything like that?

Tucker will be back. Astros won't be jettisoning anyone from the outfield. Brantley and Springer will be free agents. Astros will make them offers. They either accept or they don't. Hopefully, neither get the Cole treatment if they choose to leave.

Yeah, read that one. I’m getting so tired of us being singled out or scapegoated so Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers don’t have to take any of the brunt of it.
Oh well, just go out and win the whole ****ing thing

Dammit. Couldn't resist cause of this post. "How angry should I be?" I'm not angry in the slightest. I actually take that back, I have a slight hangover today from all the celebration.

That's a fun read...clickbait title but Schoenfield is solid, pretty much the only baseball writer I pay attention to on espn.

As much as I love this...this is the first time I've really lamented no fans. Houston is a pretty crappy sports town. But Minute Maid during the playoffs. I'll put our baseball playoff crowd up against any crowd for any sport for any situation.

Assuming NY wins tonight, that series going 5 destroyed any chance of seeing Cole twice on full rest. Unless NY opts to start him earlier, full rest would be game 4 Cole, then if it goes 7, that's only 2 days rest. Obviously the stros have their questions with the actual pitching but the schedule favors the stros as far as rest by taking care of business early and winning in 4. Stros Game 1/2 starters will both be on full rest for Game 6/7

Rent in California is really high. It's awesome how much free rent the Astros have found in the minds of Californians everywhere. Saves the team a lot of $ since we have to stay there an extra week.

Melvin absolutely wussed out to Fiers. If you have ZERO intention of ever putting Fiers in any game in the series then leave him off and diversify your roster or get another arm in there that can help you. The game Melvin played to coddle Fiers is little league pandering.
