The 2 singles preceeding the 1st HR were against the shift: 1 right where the 2B normally plays and 1 right where the SS plays in DP position. Bad luck or bad tactics, whichever. The HRs were not, they were both terrible pitches.
Really he gave up 2 homeruns to the same guy despite how meh he pitched. Just so happened that Laureano's first HR had two people on base because of the shift.
Yeah that's fair. Personally, I'm good with being up one run for now considering we did not have many options for starters today.
