If Grienke goes tomorrow, do a tandem with Javier? But if Javier goes tomorrow and we lose, game 5 would be McCullers again? If so, he's inconsistent and only thing consistent about him is he can't go deep so we would be relying on the bullpen again.
Starters on 3 days rest could eventually be the norm this post-season. Or they hold Greinke for a potential game 5 if his arm is not quite ready... that seems like the more likely bet with LMJ coming in relief.
Astros are still in the driver's seat and more favorable spot. Sucks because being up 3 in later innings it feels like this game was given away and is giving the A's a glimmer of hope. I'm still confident.
Astros still probably win series. Odds of having every pitcher completely rested for a 7-game series against a juggernaut without off days is now zero.
Yeah, ready to move on... this certainly had shades/feels of 2015 game 4, but at least they have two possible games left to close this out, vs. 1.
The Rays are that much better than the Yankees... and the Astros. The only thing that would beat them is intimidation or lack of confidence, which is unlikely to happen vs. anybody going forward.
I thought game 4 in 2015 was wrapped up. This one didn’t feel that way because of the bullpen uncertainty but I also forgot Javier was available.
I think he gets an AAV close to what Goldschmidt received in his extension which was 5 years 130 million. So somewhere around 26 milllion AAV.
