We are the AL champions my friend... and we'll fight till the end... Boy those Yankee fans are obnoxious. Thank god Papi shut them up and shoved that choke job down their throats. Jeter, Cheater, and Sheff were shut down completely. Let's go Sox!
I'm in Boston right now and this place is a madhouse... I think I may need to go board up the windows. The streets are flooded and local coverage is all over this. I'm very happy for the Red Sox ... and I think winning the way they did puts a monstrous cloud over the Yankees franchise, which I think is hilarious. How does a franchise reverse an 86-year old curse? Pull off the greatest comeback ever.... I mean 19-8 and a 3-0 series lead? UNREAL. They better hope for the Cardinals because the Killer B's would just add to their B-woes of Babe, Bucky and Boone.
C stands for curse. C also stands for Carlos, Clemens and hopefully that dude Craig that played so well in the regular season.
I was really looking foward to posting this picture in condolences to all the Redsox fans.. but looks like I won't get that same pleasure.. oh well..
Easy to laugh now that everything is in the books. Where were you 4 games ago? Obviously hiding with your tail between your legs. I do have to give the Red Sox(ahem......David Ortiz) credit for taking the series. They won. They deserve it. Still, I have no doubt that either the Cards or the 'Stros will take the hardware leaving the poor Red Sox left to continue wallowing in their 8+ decade long Championship drought. Whether Red Sox fan wants to admit it or not, THE CURSE still lives until a ring is won.
"Hammered"? LMAO. Uh, sure if you think that will happen. Better hope your team wins tonight before you start making bold predictions, Dakota. Regardless, though, just the fact that the Sox came back from this insurmountable deficit should be enough for anyone, regardless if they are a Red Sox fan or not, to know that the Red Sox are not going to give up.
So, Schilling and Lowe and the Red Sox bullpen had nothing to do with this? Did Ortiz shut down Intangibles, A-Hole (the Cheater), and Steroids Boy? Wow, no wonder Big Papi got ALCS MVP!! I thought the "Curse" (which I have said umpteen times there is no such thing) all had to do with Babe Ruth and the Yankees. And now you are telling me that despite coming back from an 0-3 deficit and handing the Yankees their most DEVASTATING loss ever, that this silly "Curse" is still on?? Har-dee-har-har-har.
Red Sox Nation complain that they haven't won a WS since 1918. What do you think they blame for that? THE CURSE. Therefore, until you win another WS, the Curse lives on... PERIOD.
I got a call from one of my cousins in Boston on my cellphone on the way to work this morning. She said they barely slept last night, and taking the subway to work this morning was like a weekend because everybody has called in sick in Boston. And, if our beloved Astros win this evening, the bet is on... 20 pounds of Maine Lobster vs. 20 pounds of Texas barbecue!
LOL. One of the Yankees fans in my office has to wear a Red Sox jersey to work as part of a bet gone wrong. Can't wait for him to do it. This is why I bring a digital camera everywhere I go.
It will be interesting to see what Steinbrenner does. He had 8 allstars in the lineup last year; i think he would be better suited to go after some real starting pitching.
I`m a Yankee fan, but I have to tip my hats to the Red Sox, the better team won. If I were a betting man I would have bet the house that the Sox couldnt beat the Yankees 4 games straight. Good Luck in the World Series......unless you face the Astros
The Red Sox wouldn't be where they are without Ortiz who won two of the elimination games with key hits. Sure other guys played their parts, but did they shut down the Yankees? Hardly. Ortiz deserves the MVP, hands down. The series would have been over 4 games ago without him. [/B][/QUOTE] The curse started because of the trade, but the outcome is still the same. No World Series rings for 8 plus decades.....and counting. http://www.soxsuck.com/curse.html Congrats to you're guys Manny. They played a hell of a series after game 3, but god knows I hope they are pummelled by the National League rep.
i like the sox...i like the sox a lot. but i must say....i will freaking hate them if the astros win tonight. it will be on like donkey kong. think you're cursed, boston fans?? don't even bring that to me. i'm from freaking houston, you freaks. i'm irish just like you....and my team hasn't sniffed a postseason series win in their 43 year history before this year. my football team blew games left and right...and then blew their way right out of town. your freaking basketball team has championship banners aplenty...8 in a freaking row, you freaks. so talk about buckner..or bucky...lament the past. trot out affleck, hall & oates and all the white boys who want to sing Motown, and the smaht kids at hahvad....and you still can't line up the misery i've known. i want my double burger
