See, this kind of thing is just ridiculous. Sure, cheer for your team. Sure, boo when a play doesn't go your way. But throwing crap AT the players on the field?!? Don't they realize that they're not only hurting their team, but baseball as a sport in general when they do this stuff?

I love how they're playing happy music in the stadium to calm those barbarians down.

BTW, what year and game was that clip they showed of a Red Sock not getting tagged at all at second but he was called out anyway? I've seen it before, but I forgot what year that was.

I think "barbarians" is a bit nice. Remember, alcohol sales are already prohibited in the outfield at Yankee stadium, and they had to built protective shields over the bullpens because of the unruly fans. Those people are not barbarians. They are rabid animals.

Just curious: suppose the game got out of hand with folks throwing stuff and/or storming the field, and the refs felf it was too dangerous to continue. Would play be suspended until a later date, or the game be called, with the Sox winning?

Will Tony Clark be the next Aaron Boone/Bucky Dent?

    Wait'a go Red Sox!

I love seeing bad things happen to those dang Yankees.

After what happened last year in game 7 and after all the lossed the Yanks have dealt the Red Sox, it would be so incredible if the Sox were to pull off a game 7 win.

The series finally lived up to the hype.....no wait that's impossible, there was wayyyyyy too much hype, but this made up for it a little.

Game 7 it'll be then! I knew it was never going to be this easy. Arod, Sheff, and Matsui you guys better show up. Especially you Arod with that stupid play that ruined the whole momentum in the 8th! Tony Clark you suck!

Tony Clark and Tom Gordon can all eat sh*t!!

I have to give RedSox credit. If they can win tomorrow, then they deserve to win the WS. Down 0-3 and come back to win the best of 7 series, had any major sports team done that before?

    WOAH, WOAH, WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!

Deserving to win the World Series?

0-3 you say? I'll give you some numbers.

    - Aug. 15: 56-60

    - 7GB

    - 36-10

Yes, being down 0-3 and then to win would be historic, but the Astros run is also historic and many people don't realize how amazing it was.

Calm down, if Sox beat the Yankees and play WS, I have no choice but rooting for Astros, if they can take care of their business tomorrow of course.

I wasn't saying that you wouldn't root for the Astros against whoever. My point was just that the Astros would be more deserving to win because they haven't just had 3 elimination games this year like the Red Sox but way upwards of that considering they won the Wild Card by just one game after going 36-10.

guys, the fans dont get the luxury of 8 slow motion instant replays there at Yankee Stadium. they also dont get an official explanation a la football referees, their response was WILD and made it even more exciting.

I'm not condoning A-Rod's move, it was clearly interference, but whining on and on why you should hate the yankees more and how classless the fans in the "hellhole" makes you look pathetic.

    "theres no crying in baseball"

besides, the Sox won! the drama continues, thats all i want to see.

    go stros

So, is it acceptable to call A-Rod classless for his attempt to cheat?

How about calling the place a hellhole for making the people on the field seem so uncomfortable that they had to bring out the riot police?
