Luhnow let a lot of stuff happen he shouldn’t have which directly led to Dusty being hired. He also let “Hinch” blow the 2019 series. Luhnow was a great GM, but the grass is always greener.
Not pitching Cole was a one time decision that was only dependent on the start of an inning vs intra-inning. Maldonado is a decision that's been repeated 100+ times. HUGE difference The grass is green right now because Luhnow planted a decade of Miracle Gro.
Idk how much control luhnow had over the ump screwing grenkie and the super lucky bs homerun that was hit. The first part is obviously complete garbage, no other gm lost their job for what the astros did

Letting your all star setup man enter a game is no where near starting the worst defensive and offensive catcher more than 100 games when a better player was available
They only need to win 1 Eovaldi/Montgomery unless you think they have 4 starts remaining between them. If they are pitching Montgomery in a game 7 after a game 5 start I like the Astros chances.
I was responding to a quote that said Luhnow would not let last night have happened. Luhnow is responsible for Dusty being hired in the first place and let managers make decisions that had bigger negative outcomes.
I don't understand the overreacting. They are just another team. I grew up pitying the rangers in the 80s... No different than the Brewers, Indians, or Padres.... I'm feeling no different than after game 1 2022 world series...
He's been a platoon guy for them. They have only let him have 11 PAs against lefties and he's still looking for his first hit. Good prospect but he's in AAA next year. He's 20 and strikes out a ton. They are protecting him by playing him part time.
