Taking Brown out and putting France in wasn’t the problem. Not taking France out sooner was the problem.
Do we have pitching next year? Verlander is super old, Garcia won’t be back till after all star break, Urquidy is average, McCullers only has one arm. Javier? Hoping rest helps him. Framber is a head case. Hunter Brown has potential.
His launch angle literally cut in half this year. My question is who decided to change his swing? He wouldn’t be playing right now if he didn’t have the year he had last year. He certainly deserves the McCormick treatment next year.
I'll take a miracle for the Astros to turn this one around, but it's still possible. More likely they'll miss out on the World Series, but I would still cheer this team after this loss if I was at the stadium. People around here are too spoiled to remember how unlikely it is to have a team make it to seven straight ALCS (and win 2 world series along the way).
