Astros should ask MLB to review this as well. If the suspension is supposed to be based on intent this was worse since it was at his head.
If framber didnt have to pitch first I would feel a lot more confident. what if Astros use the bullpen for the first inning and let Framber take the 2nd, lol
I guess the Astros will just have to win this series, then win the World Series, then tell MLB to shove it. Astros against the world.
they are saying Abreu might not have to serve his suspension until next year like yuli did that one time
As up and down as Framber has been he did throw a no hitter a few months ago. JPs Aug-Oct had him at an ERA close to 6. Framber was real bad in July, but had an ERA under 4 the last 3 months. You don’t sit your #1 starter for a rookie with 2 innings of playoff experience didn’t get a start over Urquidy. That said France should be ready to go for bulk innings if Framber is pulled early.
This. There is now an incentive for batters to try and start a commotion to get the pitcher ejected/suspended. Especially if the batter faces no consequence. They only ejected Abreu after Garcia's antics.
Anyone know if the Astros are down a player during the suspension or if they can replace his roster spot?
That doesn't mean suspensions cannot be delayed or shortened or whatever. When's the last time someone was suspended during the postseason for something (on-field) that happened during the same postseason?
