Match ups for Brantley seem appropriate. He kills against righties and gets killed against lefties. Alvarez hits both equally well in both the regular season and post season. Tucker was an equal opportunity smasher in the regular season, but not in the Post season. Whether that is an aberration from sample size or lefty quality is anybodies guess. I still wonder if the opposing managers realize that using a lefty for Brantley increases the likelihood that they will face Alvarez with men on base two batters later. They are bound to have the numbers on that success rate. It looks like Fried Starts would be a good one to give Brantley Bench Duty. When they substitute a righty, he's available to PH. Move Gurriel up to the 2 slot because he rakes against lefties.
Those nuns meant business. Apparently told Cora before the game, "We're taking you tonight." Boston globe: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/10...tarted-after-wrist-watch-taunt/?event=event25 I don't mind the Boston Astros' team led by Alex and JD. It's always about the lack of self awareness of their fanbase that makes them obnoxious.
So Cora thinks that Maldy stole signs from the bench on a steal play and made sure to put extra stink on the throw?
No. I want Atlanta to take it today. Only benefit of a game #7 would be Morton starting it, but that's not worth the possibility of facing the Dodgers with them having HFA. I'll take Framber against Morton in game #1 any day.
Hell no. The Braves need to wrap this up in Game 6. After what happened last year, the last thing they need is doubt creeping into their minds in a Game 7. Plus I want home field in the World Series.
Any info on when the Astros website will open up availability to buy World Series tickets? I mean I see some available on 3rd party re sell sites but that's premium prices... TIA
I'm so torn. If the Astros play the Braves I was thinking of flying to Atlanta from NY to go to Game #4 on Saturday but the tickets right now are $1000 for nosebleed and $2500 for Field Box. If Houston plays the Dodgers then I could fly to Houston for Game #4 in Houston and get Field Box tickets for a ton cheaper. Or I could say F it and just watch on tv.
That already happened a few days ago. All games were sold in minutes since hardly any tickets are still available when they open it up to everyone. Season ticket holders get first shot at those and a good chunk of those end up on those secondary markets.
