I believe Luis Garcia will step up and perform well. The signs can't be stolen, Bret Strom did a great job of creating scouting notes for pitchers on what pitches to throw. The pitchers of the Red Sox are stealing signs. Alex Cora looked flustered when the Astros figured out that the Red Sox were stealing signs and Astros Pitchers have notes on certain batters and what pitches to throw on what count.
Let's get one thing straight. All of this cheating talk is getting out of hand. We are watching two teams play their hearts out and seeing some crazy hitting going on with some phenomenal pitching mixed in. Rosario hit two HRs the other day... Taylor hit 3 yesterday. Players are killing the ball out of nowhere and I'd like to enjoy watching that without conspiracy theories that have and won't be proven. So signs or no signs... light or no light. I'm good.... let's play ball!
I don't care at all about what fans think about alleged cheating. But I would definitely take note if the Astros organization thought there was cheating. Did the Astros point out the issue with the light? That would be telling as to whether the Astros felt like some cheating was going on.
If altuve had a three homer game & he sneezes They would be 100 videos about how he’s cheating someway somehow
Pitching is more important than your #9 hitter. Maldy is much better defensively and handling pitchers.
Normally I'd agree, but tell that to Garcia's first start. We brought in Castro to spell Maldy sometimes as well. This game should have been the one.
Maldy should just try to hit homers. If you are going to hit below 200, you might well make every 1 out 5 count. We know he has the power to do hit them out of the park.
Neither José Urquidy nor Cristian Javier is likely available out of the Astros bullpen during Game 6, manager Dusty Baker said. Baker did not rule both men outright, but said neither will "probably" be available. Javier threw 57 pitches during Houston's 9-2 win in Game 4.
So, funny random story. My youngest was probably 7 during the championship year, and he heard the announcers saying Brad Peacock, and for a few games he sincerely thought they were saying Rad Peacock. We all thought that was the funniest thing and whenever he’d pitch, me and both my sons would be like “Rad!!!! Peacock” super excited and everything. I even have a Brad Peacock shirt (yes I did find one online, but I gotta believe I’m one of the only people to own one except maybe his wife) Anyway, dude stepped up huge during the series that year, and so honestly Brad Peacock is probably my favorite memory of that championship run. Apologies for piggybacking off your comment, but I felt like I needed to share that.
We went to academy when they did the trophy tour in Austin. Brad peacock was there and I told him he was a badass. To this day he's my daughter's favorite player
