Time to even up the series. I’m tired of all the crying on this board. I swear this is some of yalls first baseball playoff experience. Hell the Giants/Rays won 107/100 and are bounced, and Dodgers won 106 and are down 0-2. Channeling Dennis Green, if you wanna crown their *** then crown em. But we got a lot of baseball to be played in the interim. No 7 game series has been won up 2-1 that I recall but I digress.
So who pitches for us? Grienke 1,2 Javier 3,4 5? 6? 7 Stanek (pitched last night) 8 graveman 9 pressley
In the next 30 hours or so the Astros could be heading back to Houston up 3-2, one win away from another pennant.
I’m not sure why Tucker isn’t getting guaranteed first inning at bats but it’s time for Altuve Bregman and Brantley to show up.
These stats that focus on individual team performances over a span of 30 years are kind of dumb. I don't think how the 1986, 2004, 2005 fared in the post season really matters to the current team. Across all best of 7 series, the winner of game 3 when the first two games were split wins about 70% of the time. With the 2-3-2 format and the lower seeded team wining game 3, that number drops to 60%. So if you just want to look at history, the Astros chances are somewhere between 30-40%.
4-5 strong ones out of Zack, and a pretty clean showing from the pen... LET THE LUMBER AWAKEN FROM IT'S SLUMBER!
Guess his arm isn't doing as well as they thought. Wouldn't mind seeing Castro since Pivetta isn't a lefty, but whomever Greinke wants calling the game is fine.
Certainly would explain it to a degree. I know when the Astros would rock teams on the regular in a series, pitch tipping was brought up. I've also got a tip for the Astros - stop sucking
