    No reason to do that - they could just run some random bullpen dude out there in the 2nd and let Odorizzi warm up properly and come in to start the 3rd. It's a nonsensical move to fake an injury because you're probably not going to get the best of Odorizzi.

    There's literally no reason to do it with 1 out in the 2nd inning.

    The entire bullpen is available, you run someone out to finish the inning while Odo is getting warm for the 3rd.

    More than this game at this point is what are they going to do in game 4. I think we are looking at Framber on short rest. If not then Grienke as an opener and Javier as the long guy?

    The bad news about all this is our bullpen is gonna be exposed to these hitters big time by the time this series gets to Game 5. Advantage to the hitters. The same could be said however for Boston. It would be nice if we could bring in Peter Solomon to replace Garcia on the roster now due to injury.

    Whether it was a faked injury or not, Luis looked like he didn't want to be out there anymore. Looked scared, pussyfooting around the strike zone, etc. He didn't look ready to battle.
