If you thought that was what she was doing, then she did a great acting job. Secondly even if she was doing that, it is actually hard to play yourself. To act like yourself is pretty difficult.
Was Gump really that bad? I think 1994 was just a stellar year for movies. I like all three mentioned and wouldn't have been upset if any of them had won. Heck, The Lion King could have won and I would have understood.
Considering how revolutionary Pulp Fiction was and the Shawshank Redemption being possibly the greatest movie ever made... I'd say Forest Gump should have taken a back seat.
this was maybe the greatest moment: Gary Busey VS. I didn't see the Oscars until the end...Not too surprising how everything went...I don't know anything about the french actress, but will plan on seeing the movie...Same with Michael Clayton and attonement... DDL was amazing and deserved it, as did javier...On a side note, I really loved Juno, but I guess teen-age pregnancy movies don't have the voters attention...I saw the spirit awards on Saturday night and that was pretty entertaining...Juno won a lot there...at least some recognition...
Gump isn't a bad movie, it is what a "good" movie should be. That should be how good the average movie is. It certainly isn't the best movie of '94. The Oscars always mess up though, so I don't really pay too much attention.
