looks one step slow, lost explosiveness, but still can shoot (2019)
edit: his D must be a disaster...anyway, nice fit for a desperate tanking team

Work out? Sign him already you cowards!

Player, coach, scout, front office…this man should always have a job with the Rockets!

There should always be room for the Mayor in this team. Get it done Stone.

Monta will take up too many shots that are reserved for Jalen and KPJ. Pass.

    Bring back the Mayor.

What is point of working out Gerald?

Sign or not sign him, but stop playing games.

if the season goes unexpectedly un-awry and the kids start winning too many games, monta ellis could be our under-the-radar lieutenant tank commander, even more skilled & impactful than 1st commander wall

Haha...Its funny how many times talented guys are out of the league for a few years and they get that itch to have one more run at it. Honestly, he was a good player, he never struck me as the mentor type, though.

But, it doesn't really matter, we are tanking this year, so if they liked what they saw out of him as a player/coach type, why not?

Monta, a ball hog type, relying heavily on his quickness…whenever he lost his first step n explosiveness, had to try so hard to adjust n find his games back. But, once he could get over n not only felt the pain of himself but also others, then might become a good tutor, otherwise…smh
