You want a guy that can throw 80 yards or do you want a guy who throws 50 yards accurately? And a guy that can proves he doesn't get rattled under pressure from the best Defense in college football?

NFL Strength and Conditioning program and Footwork/Mechanics tweaks can improve arm strength and release/exit velocity. However, there certain things you can't teach - Watson has those.

    I will re-post this:

FYI, to get a ballpark figure of what is needed to trade up point wise is between 580 and 480. I think to move into bottom of the top 10 we have to swap our 2nd, give up 3rd, and maybe later 4th.

    We currently have
    57th (2nd) - 330
    89th (3rd) - 145
    130th (4th) - 42
    142nd (4th) - 35
    etc...

I don't see many holes on the current team.

Texans have a lot of cap space as well.

RT, OLB, CB or SS (if Texans are moving Kareem or keeping him at CB) are the three spots Texans should look for a starter with these next few picks

A quality NT, DB, G, TE, HB would be an upgrade to depth behind starters but really a luxury pick

Draft analyst has an article up from Tony Pauline who was watching the war room and said it was not a happy room when they drafted Watson. Basically said there was no handshaking or smiling or anything. He compared it to walking downstairs on Christmas morning to find no presents.

Probably because Mahomes was their 1st choice and the Chiefs beat them to it. But still OB looked much more upbeat today in the introductory press conference.

Ugh, I hate that this is a narrative now... so Watson's career is forever tied to Mahomes... what about the fact that one cost a single 1st rounder, the other cost a first and 2 3rd rounders

So Browns cut Gary Barnridge, looks like they are going with Njoku, anyone think they are gonna bring in Kaaya as well? That's the guess I'm gonna make.

I don't even care. The reason we are doing this is because THERE IS SO MUCH TIME before the next pick. And then we'll be debating the draft picks for a few months before the season starts. It's fun but it's so annoying some times. I've posted on here in the offseason more than I did during the season LOL

You do realize that the whole Mahomes thing could have been a smoke screen and the Texans wanted Watson the whole time? That is the reason the Chiefs traded up because they thought the Texans would trade with the Saints or Browns for Mahomes. They were able to drive down the price for the Browns.....to get Watson. They paid less for the QB they wanted.

Was this draft analysis aware that the story is the Browns and Texans had a deal in place for quite a while and that what he was witnessing was not the excitement of a stressful situation ending but rather the hours/days/weeks-long conclusion to a story they've known the ending to for a while?

Would you guys be mad if we took a CB or RB over Oline in the 2nd?

I'd be worried about the safety of our QB's, but they do need a 4th CB and they do need a power back to use with Lamar Miller so I'm not sure I'd be "mad" about it.

I think CB is just as much a need over OL ... so no
You have Brown, Su'a-filo, Mancz, Martin as a solid 4
    Extreme wild card is Quessenberry

The one thing I will say though, this draft is defense heavy
Could find a sleeper CB in late rounds

That is kind of brutal, but kind of funny in a way.

I wouldn't be mad about any specific position unless the player is a major reach.
