There are legit concerns about Watson. You will notice that evaluators don't ever talk about his skills as a qb, just more of the "he just wins" kind of stuff. That very tweet works out.

Feet, velocity and reading defense beat out big game courage all the time.

Thing is if would you prefer Jimmy G and keeping your 1st pick next year if you're the Texans? Plus, Texans are in win now mode, which can come in quicker and contribute?

Did Texans really trade next years first round pick??

Rick Smith got played as usual.

Another point: Albert Breer says the coaches (read obrien) are in love with deshaun because of what? Intangibles.

I firmly believe that when it comes to qbs, obrien underrates talent and overrates intangibles.

No wonder Rick didn't sign any free agents. ;) Needed those compensation picks.

That moment you realize you don't have a pick until the third round next year!:eek::eek::oops:

2018 1st and 2nd for Watson and getting rid of Brock's contract. Hope it works out & that they use that money to extend Hopkins or Clowney.

All that you speak of can be taught to him good coaching will fix those issues.

Arm velocity can't be taught and honestly there aren't many examples of guys being interception prone in college becoming safe passers in the NFL.

Well see obviously, but this feels a lot like last year when people kept saying fullers hands could be coached up.

U gave up this years' first and next years. That is cheap. U basically gave the browns 1 and 2 next year and gained a 3rd this year. The browns gave the Texans a discount since they already had the 2.

Just seems like you're more likely to get a bust than a franchise QB in the first round. I hope they got it right this time. The price was high to me. Would really suck if it doesn't work.

I don't know. When I watched him in both of the past 2 championship games, I thought he'd be a great NFL qb. It's not like Tebow's 'he just wins' kind of stuff (and as a Gator, I know plenty about that).

No honestly I didn't love any of them.

I'm not going to kill the Texans though because I believe that if you love a qb you go after them and apparently they love him. Price wasn't outrageous honestly.

I just don't like his physical tools as a passer and I'm extremely leery of a guy that top evaluators say has a problem reading defenses.

I'll say the same thing I said about the Chiefs trading up for Mahomes. I wouldn't do it. But if the Texans are in love with Watson and think he is the man then it's not too steep. I don't trust that group to make the right decisions but I'm sure they are smarter than me.

I almost hope the Texans pull a redskins and draft Dobbs later in this draft

Right. It's hard to trust them. Has any trade up worked in the obrien era? I fee like obrien falls in love with guys and the reports about what made him fall for Watson really bother me.
