The author of bigtexxx's hit piece? Wesley Pruden, I guess texxx is a fan.

In 2003, the Southern Poverty Law Center accused Pruden of using The Washington Times to push "extremist, neo-Confederate ideas."[7] The report from the SPLC also stated that Pruden was "fired in 1978 by the now-defunct National Observer, where he had worked for 14 years, under suspicion that he had 'manufactured' quotes in his stories."[8]

Under Pruden's editorship, every Saturday The Washington Times ran a full page of stories on the American Civil War, the only daily newspaper in the United States to do so.[9] Pruden called it "probably our single most popular feature", and noted that "There are more books published on the Civil War than on any other American topic." Pruden said that "the Civil War page has just as many stories about glorifying the Union as it does the Confederacy." Soon after Pruden retired as editor-in-chief, the Times announced that the Civil War page would be expanded to include coverage of all America's wars and would be renamed "America at War."[10]

On November 17, 2009, Pruden published an opinion piece in the Washington Times titled "Obama bows, the nation cringes," where he set forth his thoughts on what he considered President Obama's breaches of etiquette committed on his tour of Asia, such as bowing to Emperor Akihito of Japan. In the article, he expressed the opinion that since President Obama was "sired by a Kenyan father, born to a mother attracted to men of the Third World and reared by grandparents in Hawaii," he "has no natural instinct or blood impulse for what [America] is about."[11] A number of liberal commentators criticized the column as racist.[12]

...and the White House is exposing their true beliefs.

Jay Carney better hurry up and go into full scale back pedaling mode...

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/04/white-house-government-shutdown_n_4043961.html

The standoff over the government shutdown is, obviously, a political affair, with each side hoping to extract enough pain that the other acquiesces. But part of effective politics is pretending (in a convincing fashion) that politics doesn't matter. So it's hard to see how this quote from an anonymous official inside the administration does the White House much good.

    Via the Wall Street Journal:

Said a senior administration official: "We are winning...It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts "because what matters is the end result."
Obviously, polling data would support this contention and certainly, from the conversations I've had with senior administration officials, the White House feels that it has the upper hand. But to say you don't care how long the shutdown lasts is to suggest that the impact it's having throughout the country isn't factoring into your strategic thinking. And that's not exactly the impression you want to leave.

Oh I can attack the content but why would I bother when the author has a history of making up quotes and racial BS. He's clearly taken Reid out of context and you know that but don't let that stop your Obama fantasy.

He probably even ate dinner and slept 8 hours too. Can you imagine how many meals and nights sleep Reagan would have skipped with a war going on and a government shutdown? Geeeeez.

Growing? Not so sure about that. Last poll I saw showed 44% blamed Republicans and 35% blamed Obama. Initially most people blamed Ted Cruz and the Tea Party, not Democrats or Obama.

And what were CNN's poll numbers like before, since you contend the anti gop stance isn't growing?
