We aren't gonna see a Republican president for a very long time.

Thanks, but you completely avoided my question. Why won't he bring it up for vote?

Yeah, that's pretty good example there. I wonder how strong a 60-40 district is - or how predictive it is. How often does a side lose those kinds of splits?

    false choice

why won't Reid delay the parts of Obamacare that Obama hasn't already delayed and take a common sense, responsible look at it?

lol what? I'm asking why the Republican Speaker of the House won't bring up a vote for a clean budget in the Republican controlled house?

Republicans are really in trouble if a majority vote is a "false choice". What is a true choice, if the wishes of the majority of representatives (and voters) isn't it? What effect is there on vulnerable republican representatives, who are the ones likely to bear the brunt of the voter backlash? Where does this quixotic fight get the GOP in the long run?

Hopefully, a seat on the bench, metaphorically.

That line by you has been blown out of the water many many times. Keep trotting it out though, it's getting a lot of agreement. LOL!

it's a false choice to claim that a "clean bill" (please note the media has duped you by using the word clean to suggest that it is the only issue on the table) does not include other items. The House can tack other things onto it -- that's their right to do. It's just as "clean" with the Obamacare discussion in it. Don't let the media bias lead you to oversimplify this. That's not the case.

It's a legislative term, and not a media term at all.

    Your welcome in advance.

And still our President tries to reason with the GOP.

    from Politico

President Barack Obama has invited congressional leaders to a Wednesday meeting at the White House, a White House official said.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker John Boehner, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have all been invited to attend, the official said.

During the meeting, Obama will call on the "House to pass the clean CR to reopen the government, and call on Congress to act to raise the debt ceiling to pay the bills we have already incurred and avoid devastating consequences on our economy."

Certainly one side has: the guns, the senseless fury, and the propaganda wing ready to go.

A lot of those GOP districts are small population. It won't take too many immigrants to flip them blue.

Harry Reid asks why we would want to help a child with cancer. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is today's democratic senate...

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ncer-research-separately-rest-government.html

The U.S. Senate's leading Democrat found himself in embarrassingly hot water Wednesday, after dismissing the idea of funding children's cancer research through the government shutdown.
'If you can help one child, why won't you do it?' asked CNN reporter Dana Bash.
'Why, why, why would we want to do that?' countered Reid.

Reid should end this. A common sense delay of Obamacare. Hell Obama delayed parts of Obamacare by fiat alone. Let's do what's responsible.
