well, if their regular athletes are not properly trained, i doubt their trans would get more training. they will just get dominated by the selected few well trained trans from other parts of the world. :D

I just love how you and others say not to judge an entire country on one person or group....then turn around and do THE SAME DAMN THING back at us.

Yeah...since some putz calling himself CometsWin thinks those arent sports, it MUST mean ALL Americans think that way.

Im getting mighty tired of you guys constantly claiming EVERY LITTLE THING that gets said you dont like HAS TO BE China bashing.

Get over yourselves, most people I know are like me....we dont think of China hardly at all...much less do we waste any time thinking of new ways to bash China....sorry guys...yall just aint that important to the average American.

Ive been holding this in for a while...but at this point you guys are ruining a perfectly good Olympics thread with your massive inferiority complexes.

Isn't the manager of the Chinese baseball team American? I remember hearing something about it in an MLB game.

Of course most people on the bbs are like you. However, there are a lot of people on this bbs who dislike/hate China and try to cast the country in a negative light any chance they get, sort of like TJ is with Obama.

had this happened at pro level in the States, the benches would have cleared.

hitting 5 guys in a game...including the last one in the back of the head...wow.

I just love how you ASSUMED deepblue's post about "China bashing" referring to ALL Americans instead of CometsWin himself.

Get over yourselves, just because you dont think of China hardly at all...... doesn't mean CometsWin is the same ( This link proves that how much CometsWin cares about china)

It's even more funny you mention about "massive inferiority complexes". I think any rational person who had read this thread would know which one of deepblue or CometsWin felt more insecure!!!!!

    Oh, OK.

I feel kind of bad for Shawn Johnson. She came in with all this hype surrounding her, and she's only 16, and her possibility of 4 gold medals. So far, each time it has been silver. I hope she can grab a gold on beam.

Yeah, gonna be TONS of b****ing tonight.

Basically everybody has been saying that the new scoring is to reward higher difficulty routines. Now, somebody gets screwed over by having a higher start value. Hilarious.

Yes, should have just given out two gold like they used to do. They both deserve it.

OK, actually it's much more complicated than anybody has stated so far.

Here's an article that describes it - but basically they had to go to a 2nd tie breaker formula since they tied on the first tie breaker - having identical difficulty and execution scores  Looks like they were really grasping when they came up with the 2nd tie breaker formula.

"It's not correct. I believe it's correct to have two gold medals," International Gymnastics Federation president Bruno Grandi said. "But this is my modest opinion. The IOC is different."

In case of same score with the same starting A score too, whoever has the least deduction in the effective scores wins the gold.
