the new scoring system absolutely puzzles me. it doesn't make sense. same score, same medal. just give her the gold. it counts both ways. they need to change the system. stupid IOC.

oh hey CometsWin, why don't you complain about all the Diving, shooting, "non sports" medal that US won? before China joined Olympics, US was winning a lot of those medals. just cause we are better, now you complain? meh.

    Here are some
    interesting comments:

4 years ago, when the last Olympic was held in Anthem, China's economy was only 56% of it is now. How come I didn't notice that?

People, China is a mad mad mad country we are dealing with  Calling them cheaters, human right abusers, their sports are not sports etc may make us feel better but it does not help us. They are for real, and we better take them seriously.

mutual understanding is the key. don't purpose paint a wrong picture, that will make both sides hate each other.

Believe my I've tried. So far the only Olympic team member I've beaten belonged to the Singaporean Olympic team and that says much much more about the Singaporeans than it does about my skill. :(

So what the hell do you consider sports?

There really isn't a point to any sport if you look at them rationally and objectively. Other peopel could point out how ridiculous it is to put a ball through a hoop or jump over hurdles. So while you have your own biases regarding sport consider that Judo probably has the most countries participating in it so it an Olympic sport even if the US can't get a gold.

Canada always sends a large contingent, yet it doesn't translate into a lot of medals :(

A joke going around the Chinese internet...

After watching Michael Phelps win medals in so many different swimming events, the Jamaicans demand the IOC to add 110m, 120m, 130m..., running forwards, backwards, and sideways, etc., to the Sprint events. The Russians want mud wrestling, beach wrestling, nude wrestling, men-and-women mixed wrestling, etc. added. The Chinese wants singles, doubles, triples, quadruples... in table tennis. The Thais say, hey, if we have men's and women's events, we should have transvestites' events too!

i don't mind the wrestling part. :D especially the last 2 categories.

as for Thailand, what are they good at? the extra gender won't do them no good either. :D

I think Thailand has by far the largest population of transgenders in the world, I bet they would dominate if there is a transgender olympics.
