Other people just performed better. I guess the judges didn't get the notes that Chinese are suppose to win on this one!
i can do about 20+ dips in a set with my 160 lb frame. but afterward, i feel like my bones are going to separate. it must be burning like hell for them. yikes.
Let's be honest here, we are all spectators, without any real knowledge of gymnastics. There is no more 10s in gymanstics any more. Nothing is perfect, the way how one turns 720 will definitely affects one's final score, it's not just a matter of completing the routine, but it will be scrutinized to the finst details. In my opinion, as odd as the scoring system might be, it applies to every single gymnast.
Looks like your right...Bela doesn't have an official capacity but Martha is the National Team Coordinator.
hey, didn't they just switched to the new system before the Olympics? maybe none of the refs know what the **** they are doing yet.
Xiao Qin will win. He's dominant on pummel horse for a long time. Check out youtube videos of his previous routines. They are amazing ( for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW6UHFHD6cU )
apparently you can b/c i don't think i've seen a 9.6 or better this whole time. no matter how flawless. again, liukin lost .475 on essentially a perfect vault. it may have been easy, but you couldn't do it any better. you either have to lose more for falling or get more for perfection. right now, there's just no separation is all i'm saying. my arms hurt just watching as they get to the end of their routines and when they try to handstand to dismount.
they need to get a better scoring system. or at least show on TV what's the max score, what's the deduction. otherwise, most people have no clue on the scores. as for pommel horse, i forgot the abs are burning too.
I could be completely wrong on this but wasn't the reason for switching to the new system because of a scoring error in favor of the U.S. and screwing over a Korean gymnast (mens).
yes. depends on the country. most countries award them with money. i was watching the badminton men final. the Chinese dude from Malaysia gets 1 million whatever their currency is, if he wins gold. he won silver, so he gets something like half of that.
